6 RepliesEdited by SpunChii: 4/14/2026 9:22:03 AMThey even decided to use Battle eye as its "Anti-Cheat" So to no ones surprise it already has cheaters ruining every ones fun. I mean it did nothing in one game so it might do something on this game.

1 ReplyEdited by Cultmeister: 4/18/2026 4:27:47 AMIt’s worth noting that ARC Raiders has lost a similar proportion of its steam player base since launch to Marathon; they’re both on about a third of their initial players (being generous in Marathon’s case). The difference is the numbers themselves aren’t even in the same ballpark, to the point where there can’t be many fewer Marathon players to start eating into operating costs. After the initial burst of cash from people buying the game, I can’t see 25k players being enough to sustain it long term unless they’re expecting those 25k to be SWEATY with their parents’ credit cards, and the trend in the numbers is not a plateau. The other difference is ARC Raiders has done its decline over 5 months with a healthy bump at Christmas, whereas Marathon has done it in 1.
