So after a nearly 6 month departure from [i]Destiny 2[/i], in what I believed to be a final exit, I returned over the winter holiday season simply because I missed this franchise. While I'll [i]never[/i] invest in the grind or place financial stake in this franchise again, I do appreciate the universe and worlds [i]Destiny[/i] has to offer. And nothing else "[i]feels[/i]" like [i]Destiny[/i], from the gunplay+ability+movement marriage. I've had fun since returning, and that's all that really matters to me. However..... The Portal...... What complete dilution of active players! Why offer such extensive autonomy and variety if it causes queues to be empty or slow to fill?!? It's definitely a problem [b]IMO[/b], although another major issue within the portal is lackluster rewards deincentivizing activity engagement, [b]OR[/b] pigeonholing into 1-2 activities. All that said, I am just now an Arena grinder...... OG [i]Ketchcrash[/i] and OG [i]Nightmare Containment[/i] harbor some of my most fond memories of this franchise. Seeing them return in the capacity they have makes me so incredibly happy! I'd love to see Arena expanded though. [i]Wellspring, Dares of Eternity, Menagerie,[/i] and [i]Salvage[/i] would be awesome additions to the playlist.!They could theoretically highlight 3 of them each week for specific queueing, but leave all of them available through the random queue. Anyhow, in the meantime I'll just appreciate and enjoy what is here, and just live in the Arena. Not for Loot. Not for Titles. Not for clout. Simply for FUN!
