greetings!
I'm a level 30 warlock that would like to ask my fellow guardians for advice. I'm not able to play as often as I'd like but still play a reasonable amount to still enjoy the game. I'm searching for advice on how to become better at raids. Looking also to make better decisions on weapons and armor. As of this moment there's not much to brag about in my inventory. The only exotic I've achieved is the last word. It's loads of fun but not necessarily a multi purpose weapon. I love the hand cannon concept but realize it's not as effective as I'd like. Also my armor as a warlock I only have two exotic armor pieces. Obsidian Mind and a yet to be upgraded voidfang vestments. I know dumb ass me didn't have the coins or the time the week Xur offered it. I hear a lot about things on the forums but have been unable thus far to achieve a consensus. So with that in mind and the following limitations what are some good things to focus on for me? As previously stated I'm ok with a slow grind. I played skyrim for -blam! sake. I'm not a crucible beast mode and I'm more a PvE player and I need good tips on better armor and weapons (I.E. The types of and strategies in obtaining) any and all helpful advice and education is eternally appreciated.
With much gratitude,
Nuge

Do you need "Super Good Advice" xD

Hey all I have another question see what you can make of it. I'm doing the thorn bounty. I have hard light murmur arc and mg18a solar and for some reason my weapons do almost no damage and as a level 30 I can't solo it. Any input would be amazing as usual

Next question. Should I save commendations marks and glimmer? It's my understanding that house of wolves drops sometime in March?

I just want to say thank you so much to all theses voices in the wilderness and your super good advice! Keep it coming!

I'm no pro, but level your legendary gear and you hit 31. Watch a YouTube video on Crota's End. LFG and get raid gear to move towards 32. Complete bounties to get exotic bounties. Actual exotic drops are extremely rare and random--a good source would be nightfalls or Xur purchases. If you are on PS4 send a friend request and we can work together.

1st thing to do is have at least 2 characters that are level +30, 3 ideally, that way you can do the raids, nightfalls, and weeklies 3 times per week. After leveling all of the characters just keep running the before mentioned activities and the rewards should come.

Edited by Vysi: 2/2/2015 5:56:10 PMHandcannons are a perfectly fine choice as long as you have a good one. If you plan to raid with it though, I suggest getting one with a decent clip size and fast reload. As for other weapons, get a set of raiding weapons specific to the raid you'll be doing. Have a void special and heavy for VoG, Crota is easier with guns that can clear mobs of enemies quickly. For VoG, I always use Vision of Confluence, Icebreaker, and a void Deviant Gravity-A. For Crota, I use Vision of Confluence, Icebreaker/ legendary sniper, and Song of Ir Yut/ Gjallarhorn depending on the situation. Gear-wise, personally I have 3 set of gear with me so I can change my stats and abilities whenever I need to. For example, on missions where deaths matter a lot, like nightfalls, I use the sunsinger subclass with the 2 grenade perk and the claws of Ahamkara for 2 melee charges, using my legendary gear to focus on decreasing my grenade and super cooldowns. If you're on XB1, add me and/or send me a pm here on the forum. My GT is the same as my forum name. My friends and I would be happy to help with raids, nightfalls, etc no matter how you're equipped. :)

3 RepliesAlways have some bounties on in the background working towards getting Eris to level 4. It is a long trek but a must for reaching level 32. Work on this all the time. From level 30, get the vanguard gear and only worry about maxing out an exotic helmet. This should get you to 31 in no time. Then it is on to Crota to try and get 32 gear and the all important shards. Again, Crota on normal will give you all the gear you need so get on LFG.
