We save our super the whole time and get less glory and kills in order to:
Prevent a wipe when the boss is almost dead
Get teammates up who stupidly died in the middle of a crowd of enemies that will surely kill us so we get you up, die, and waste our super on saving you
Solo a portal if too many people are down we can hold our own
Be the last few alive every time on a bad hard raid run that we inevitably save by having the only two guys left be the warlocks with shields killing all 3 sides of never ending sacrificing minotaurs
Pick the shield back up immediately if we die to save time a little time on the cleanse recharge and prevent a wipe since the other classes always hesitate to run down and grab it
Throw ourselves in front of you when your saying "shit shit shit" and we know you're gunna die so we sacrifice ourself to distract the enemy then super revive and distract it some more til you're healed (I do this with praetorians constantly while defending portals)
Just realize that the sunsinger uses just as many team work strategies as the titan next time you go thinking were for "cheeses only" and I didn't see you complaining when we did that for you either
Edit: lots of replies guys. Also shout out to the guy named Swirve for posting such a blasphemous and incorrect comment that he got more replies than the actual post. Lol Sunbros unite!
Edit 2: thanks to a few argumentative idiots I now have a post with 700 replies lol thanks for being you idiots.

Most warlocks I play with will use it when we're mere feet away.. just because they can. As if by doing so we didn't notice that they died in the first place.

Ye for people who need it

9 RepliesSunsingers are boring to play. Voidwalker ftw!

I have a Hunter as a primary character and just started a Warlock just for the self rez. Its the best thing about it. Using the best feature of a class, is nothing else but common sense. If you have an advantage, use it. If blade dancer is OP, use it, if the Titan's Melee is OP, use it. Other wise, why go through the trouble of using that class at all?
-
It's great to have a sunbro in PvE, especially nightfalls and raid. In PVP, it's hilarious. It's like saying "I know I'm terrible at this, so I get do-overs." Plus, I almost always get a bonus kill out of it...
-
I laughed
-
I have done everything you stated. Can't count the amount of times I've saved a team wipe at the very end of Nightfall when the boss is on his last sliver of health and something unlucky/unfortunate happens to everybody at the same time. Timer starts, everyone's bummed, and bam, I come back to life and save the day, and the night...fall

Self Res in the hard mode raid is great for glitches or a mistake. I have soloed the portals and it gives me a safety margin. When playing other pve content its nice to have when I want to solo. It's great to have when doing nightfalls with random players. If I am playing with friends I will use Voidwalker so I can deal massive damage. The sunsinger melee and grenade attach is by far the most powerful of the three classes. I have a raid armor that maxes out my strength and discipline so both meters are always full.

11 Repliesim not sure what class you are effects being scared to hold the relic. i'm a hunter and i usually always have the relic
-
All arguments from both side on sunsingers are valid and true. Good players running sunsingers are invaluable to mediocre teams. Bad players are just bad in general and sunsingers help them be less bad. Good teams don't need sunsingers bc they don't die lol. I play with a lot of randoms in vog...almost exclusively lol...being a sunbro is quite useful as a relic holder...prevent wipes...hey mishap happens.
-
Feels. Sometimes in the raid, i never get to use my super. Cuz i didn't die. Gun play all the way. Don't forget voidwalker tho. I maxed both and have use void more these days. Nova bombs are cool.
-
Or you could be a Hunter and wreck face.

I'm like you, I keep my super so I can revive team mates that walk into a sh1t storm.
-
Since I always solo my own Nightfall, self-rez is an absolute necessity. Anyone whos soloing knows how long it takes since the smallest mistake gets you wreckd and its just beyond awesome when you can rez before being kicked to orbit. Mostly end up never using tough.

7 RepliesYou shouldn't die...it isn't necessary for good players
We save our super the whole time and get less glory and kills
untrue from confluxes to gorgon maze 90% of the time i have the most kills by at least 50 or 60 over my raid team and im a 30 warlock
-
There will be time were the super isn't used ever because he doesn't die. Me with my 28/29 hunter out play titans and warlocks in both VOG. And pve. Its the players skill not the class. The self rez is amazing when everybody is dead and a wipe almost happens kudos to warlocks for saving my bacon on nightfall more than once
-
7 RepliesHow about... just don't die? Then you won't need to prevent a wipe. How about.... get better teammates? Then you won't have to revive them. How about... get better? Then you won't go down when you revive someone. How about... see how useful self reviving is to prevent a wipe during hard mode?
-
2 RepliesOnly hunters really complained about the self Rez and it's more out of jealousy cause hunters suck in pve lol
next time you go thinking were for "cheeses only" and I didn't see you complaining when we did that for you either
Lmfao when I seen this part Praise the sun brother

i feel like the "good players dont die, u dont belong in the vault of glass" camp is being a bit disingenuous. i die. who doesnt? ive seen the youtube experts die plenty of times.

Edited by PBJ: 12/3/2014 4:30:11 PMI can solo middle conflux on hard and left and right on hard as long as someone else is watching middle. Max fatebringer ghorn and self res makes it possible. I can also solo both portals on hard. Same things make it possible.

7 RepliesThat's funny coming from a man who's only completed the raid 15times come back to me when your over 50.
-
1 ReplyI had joined a random team making me the sixth for hard mode gatekeepers checkpoint. We had gotten the relics and in the middle defending the conflux. We got so close to beating it then everyone died but me. (including the guy other guy with the relic.) So I ran around killing the minatours for a short time and I had died from a glitch minatour, self revived, picked up the relic and killed the last minatour. The conflux disappeared and everyone flipped out and cheered. lol. I got a friend request from all of them after we finished the raid.
