We save our super the whole time and get less glory and kills in order to:
Prevent a wipe when the boss is almost dead
Get teammates up who stupidly died in the middle of a crowd of enemies that will surely kill us so we get you up, die, and waste our super on saving you
Solo a portal if too many people are down we can hold our own
Be the last few alive every time on a bad hard raid run that we inevitably save by having the only two guys left be the warlocks with shields killing all 3 sides of never ending sacrificing minotaurs
Pick the shield back up immediately if we die to save time a little time on the cleanse recharge and prevent a wipe since the other classes always hesitate to run down and grab it
Throw ourselves in front of you when your saying "shit shit shit" and we know you're gunna die so we sacrifice ourself to distract the enemy then super revive and distract it some more til you're healed (I do this with praetorians constantly while defending portals)
Just realize that the sunsinger uses just as many team work strategies as the titan next time you go thinking were for "cheeses only" and I didn't see you complaining when we did that for you either
Edit: lots of replies guys. Also shout out to the guy named Swirve for posting such a blasphemous and incorrect comment that he got more replies than the actual post. Lol Sunbros unite!
Edit 2: thanks to a few argumentative idiots I now have a post with 700 replies lol thanks for being you idiots.

Preach it, nukkah.

Every class is useful Titans for the bubble Hunters for oracles and supplicants Warlocks to be in front/take the relic and take damage because it isn't that bad when they die because they can self-rez Thats it !!! English isn't my mother language so sorry for mistakes/grammare

Edited by TheWavetwister: 12/3/2014 6:34:36 PMYou don't need any supers from any characters to run the raid smoothly, it's just a bonus. If that bonus gives you an extra life, that is more team orientated than 4 of the other supers.
-
you got it sunbro!

Praise the Sun!

Self-revive is very useful, I've never seen or heard people criticize it before. I've given my warlock friends a lot of crap over it, but it's all in good fun.
-
1 ReplyI really don't have an issue with self revive, it's a great help! My issue is with some of the users. Eg when your on hard defending the conflux's and you keep seeing "guardian down" and then "don't worry guys I've got self revive". The eventual team wipe occurs and I hear said warlock chirp in with "Wow, why can't you guys survive this is the easy bit.." Nothing angers me more..
-
Bump for the truth! Titans putting their bubble up and saying I saved your lives. Hunters golden gunning anything that moves. As a warlock main, I save my super for when my team wipes. Even though I could be throwing 10 solar grenades at my fire team asking, "can you do this though?!?"
-
You're wrong about Warlocks always picking up the relic. I play with many warlocks but they dont want to be the relic holder. I always take the relic all the time as a Hunter, they are definitely the best at handling the mobs. I use my warlock for emergencies only.

2 RepliesWhy wouldn't you use your super throughout stuff as you will generate it back and can snag orbs from teammates. That's your fault for holding on to it so long and not using it instead of playing so recklessly. Seriously, and I'm not trying to be a dick, but it's just about a fact that alot of warlocks play recklessly (not all) cause they have the self revive, and ability to get it multiple times cause I'm always generating orbs from my melee, ward of dawn, foh, heavy weapon kills, etc. If you are playing with a smart titan (One who changes perks throughout strikes, weekly, nightfall, Raid etc), there is no reason you not use your super multiple times from all the orbs he/she is generating for you. The more you use your super, the more orbs you drop helping the titan to super up and then use his super (creating more orbs for team) while generating orbs from the other perks they can enable. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking warlocks at all, self revive is very useful for alot of situations and saving a wipe. The perk that cools down everyone's grenades and whatever is very helpful as well. I'm just knocking warlocks who get their super in first few minutes of game and never use it until they die cause they are reckless when playing and are afraid they will die when super is on cool down from using it
-
Aw that's like me saying you suck cause of your grimoire score u fgt
-
147 RepliesIt is used by low skill players to try and keep up with better players....that is the right answer....
-
Agreed
-
I actually wish I could use the perk that reduces cool down of allies abilities rather than self revive, but I'd rather be able to make up for mistakes in the Atheon fight.
-
I do agree Rez is clutch at times but.... When someone has to rely on it allll the time is bad. I don't really care if somone uses it but it has helped at times in sticky situations. But yes. If you use it and just rely on it and play dumb then I don't respect you.(as a guardian)
-
My experience with Warlocks have been the exact opposite for the most part. I'm not saying you're wrong but the people I've played with have used self rez as a crutch & other players had to revive them...again. I'd really like to find someone who uses the Warlock abilities to the fullest because I know you guys can be MVP sometimes :)
-
There are some situations where a self rez is worthless though. Not saying it doesn't have a use, but sometimes when your boned, your boned. Question is, is the team work brought by self rez better then the team work brought by song of flame? A self rez is super nice if things go bad, but preventing deaths is even better.

Personally I'm just annoyed whenever I think I killed a sunsinger in the crucible. The answer is always a nope, after which I unsuccessfully attempt to beat him back into his grave.
-
I have all 3 classes leveled and IMO Sunsinger Warlock is the best for PVE. My Raid team and any team will always choose for me to bring my Warlock in if they have that choice. I am the one who solos a gatekeeper, who kills ads and takes down the templar shield while the team is safely nuzzled on top. Sunsingers are the most sought after and team friendly class by far. Titan bubbles are only helpful for DPS, other than that it's hard to find a Titan who uses the bubble effectively.
-
Warlocks with self-rez, you the real MVP.
-
This is exactly why I play Sunslinger, for the well being of the team. It's called teamwork for a reason. It allows us to play with more risk. We're there to shield and revive, not only ourselves but the entire team. We HAVE died for your sins, and we will..time and time again.
-
I like it cuz it gives me wiiings!!!!
-
^^THIS Sunsingers FTW!!!
-
Warlocks are the real martyrs in this fight against the Darkness.
-
1 ReplyNote, your assumption that everyone saves it assumes that everyone is good. And that assumes that you, yourself, do what you say that all warlocks do. Neither are true, post has no value.
-
Most warlocks I play with will use it when we're mere feet away.. just because they can. As if by doing so we didn't notice that they died in the first place.
