Okay fellas it's pretty simple, we want two flags... not 3

Please, ALL OF YOU, Stop trying to capture all 3 flags if you're not in a fireteam of 6. When I'm with my Fireteam, we can capture all 3 flags and earn a crapton of XP (about 325 per kill) because of domination. Now even though that's a nice thing to aim for ... IT'S NOT THE GOAL The goal is control. COntrol means to control the enemy team. Keeping them on their one flag. We get too close, we don't control. Whenever I go solo I see all of you, ALL OF YOU, go for the third flag like it's the holyland. Please, unless you and your friends are coordinated and playing together, don't go for the third flag. Please. Seriously, PLEASE. In fact if you guys want a tip for solo , chill back at the furthest flag, theres always someone trying to sneak around to take it. Steady points.

  • Domination game modes in CoD and BF completely ruined the concept of what Control should be for most people. I'm convinced most people refuse to understand the basic concept behind Control. I can't imagine that many people are just that stupid. Could be that they are though... Sigh.

  • It depends on the flow of gameplay. but generally yes, keep two flags and protect mid with main bulk of the team, while 1-2 guard back flag. HOWEVER IF the flow of gameplay gets to the point where people at B are staving off enemies easily, and people at back flag are not seeing any enemies, it is clear that your team can push the 3rd flag and likely keep all of them. This is rare, but sometimes enemy teams are just THAT bad.

  • Even in call of duty 2 flags is better than 3...the spawning gets all -blam!-ed up and then you're getting shot from behind

  • It does my head in too. If I'm with one other I always say 'let's both defend B, keep going back to B and defend it' but most of the time they then run off for another flag. 6 players = 3 on 2 flags. Most teams will struggle to dislodge 3 well placed players - if you lose a flag you go take the back flag and use it as a distraction to take yours back. You'd think that's simple

  • Anybody feels the blind watch after patched is even more unbalanced? Basically a team got zone B and C and they can just stay downstair waiting for the other team come in through those tiny doors and put them down People come in from the upper door has only one cover, and that tiny upstair is a wonderful grenade ground for people in downstair, while people in downstair have more covers to hide and larger space to avoid grenades The zone B is almost fully exposed to downstair, which made it too hard to capture, enemies can attack you from three directions, and they can go through back and side doors to take care zone C at the same time. The replacement of zone A is totally meaningless since it's still far from the main battle place with zone B become much more easier to keep for the other team, and the team without zone B zone C will still spawn in the room under the OLD ZONE A WITH THE DAMN HEAVY WEAPON SPAWN POINT MOVED AWAY. They changed this map because it was unbalanced? So they turned it even more unbalanced?

    • It's because all of the people who do that probably come from a heavy CoD background.

      • Every single player in Iron Banner needs to read this thread. This drives me INSANE. I hate losing a match because all of my teammates constantly run to the third control zone and just get mowed down, or screw up the enemy spawn.

No better feeling in the world than leading with 5000 points, have two points captured and the score just keeps rolling in, and you start spawning on the far end of the map, away from everything and you find yourself loosing by 6000. Because someone decided to break their own perfect position.

      • On the other hand, because randoms will go for a third point, hanging back and playing defense will net a pretty decent sum of points. After all, doesn't Shaxx also tell you to defend?

      • Since people can't seem to understand this I usually stay at B and give the opposing all hell before they can take it

      • I agree with this so much. I only play solo, because no friends on 360, and it's the most frustrating thing when my team is controlling the game and has steady control of two flags, then some moron goes for the third flag and the enemy is suddenly spawning behind us. If you sit back with control of 2 points, then you control the spawn of the enemy and they have to come to you. Quite simple, quite effective.

      • I agree if people want to just run around and kill there is clash. If two groups of 3 hold two base points it is a pretty good chance of victory.

      • 100 percent agree. Practically every map has its two main flags closest. Usually who controls them wins. As a solo or dual fireteam player thats the main reason we lose is because randoms go for the point way on the other side of the map.

      • so... you get less points per kill when you hold 3 flags? that's dumb. the arena announcer should say "you're doing it wrong" when you have all 3.

        • 100 percent agree. Don't even go near the 3rd flag. If you do then they'll just be spawning anywhere and killing from behind and taking all of our spots. Sit there on your side and control the 2 spots, and make them stay in that spawn area of their spot.

          • The control theory. 3 points six players Player 1&2 alternate between point a and b Players 3&4 alternate between c and b Players 5&6's home base is b but supports callous from a or c Unless a full team is going for a single point this will help hold a lock down. If you are less confident the team can cap 2 points and move between them. Snipers set in locations to support each. With decent players and good communication this can be pulled off. But generally to do it consistently it needs a team who know each other's strengths and weaknesses.
