Please, ALL OF YOU, Stop trying to capture all 3 flags if you're not in a fireteam of 6.
When I'm with my Fireteam, we can capture all 3 flags and earn a crapton of XP (about 325 per kill) because of domination.
Now even though that's a nice thing to aim for ...
IT'S NOT THE GOAL
The goal is control. COntrol means to control the enemy team. Keeping them on their one flag. We get too close, we don't control.
Whenever I go solo I see all of you, ALL OF YOU, go for the third flag like it's the holyland. Please, unless you and your friends are coordinated and playing together, don't go for the third flag. Please.
Seriously, PLEASE.
In fact if you guys want a tip for solo , chill back at the furthest flag, theres always someone trying to sneak around to take it. Steady points.

Edited by bopbarker: 11/22/2014 6:46:14 AMSometimes when you respawn it puts you next to the third one you don't have. I'm gonna take it since I'm already there. I usually run between two points in an ideal situation though based on radar activity, don't get me wrong.

Lmao so true. I hate when they flips spawns and we end up with shitty side

My favorite tactic in control. I wish more people would play like this.

2 RepliesEdited by little wolf 599: 11/22/2014 5:54:10 AMAnd never go for A flag it always sucks
-
I'm a boss I take all three and make the enemy spawn behind my teammates, who sit around like wrinkly, old, fat fools
-
why not six flags?
-
Yeah I lose so many matches to dumbasses like this. We have a and b on firebase Delphi and they just HAVE to go for C. Not 1 or 2, like 4 or 5... Leaving me alone to fend off B and A. So stupid.
-
Totally agree, everything goes so much smoother when you hold two points.
-
The two cap strategy is a good one, but it's near impossible with randoms who don't go into team chat. Like everything else Destiny, it's better when you do it with friends.

3 RepliesI honestly did not know this but it makes sense. I am still a beginner at the whole PVP thing and sometimes I do great and end in the top 3 and sometimes I do horrible and end dead last. I have yet to learn how to effectively use a shotgun (embarrassing I know) but I keep telling myself keep playing, keep taking the beatings and eventually I will get better and exact my revenge:-/

1 ReplyThey should improve control by making maps with 12 flags! Everyone can be tethered to a flag and not allowed to go more than 10ft away that way no one will cry about winning or losing, and we all get our nice little "participant" ribbon. You know kinda like people get for failing a public event?
-
You are noob, 3 is better than 2. Learn to play game right. Once all 3 are taken you yell: "all your bases are belong to us!" And send them home crying about fusion rifle. N00b
-
Wait.......there are flags in Control? And we should try to maintain a grip in them? Are you sure. I thought I was suppose to run around aimlessly and die a lot.

2 RepliesEdited by TaquitosNbeer: 11/21/2014 11:53:34 PMI -blam!-ing love when we're the alpha team on Blind Watch & some dumbasses on the other team cap Alpha. Like thanks for spawn switching us to the better side! Now I'm gonna cap Charlie & Bravo ;) it drives me nuts when my teammates kill the guy & don't let the spawn switch happen tho. I usually always come in first place; follow what the first place guy is doing!!! Side note: Blind Watch is more broken now than it was before. It's ridiculously easy to defend C & B at the same time.

I hate these posts. Domination is the fastest way to end the game.

I will take the third. Get on my level

3 RepliesI agree to the point I am tried of kids with no understanding ruining the game. the other day ran 5 in my IB group and always some 6th random would take the 3rd and flip the spawns normally against a full team. Thus causing us to lose a close match AGAIN. If you dont know what your doing about which maps you want which obj then follow someone who does
-
want to find a team for IB must have mic and be good GT same as name message for inv
-
I can't tell you how many times I've said this in my head during a match
-
Yup. Take the objective close to you, then take theirs, and then corner them at B while you rack up the points. B is designed to be the central point of action, so most idiots flock there without checking the other two objectives. If you successfully funnel people to the middle the whole game while keeping the outer two objectives locked down, you will have a sure win. That said, without team cooperation it really is just a free-for-all. Play the objective is about all you can do, whatever that means.
-
Thank you! Nothing worse than only being up a couple thousand, and people start getting over zealous, causing a spawn flip, then getting the whole map cluster -blam!-ed and losing by a couple hundred. On a side note, I was in a match where we were flat out smashing the other team and we took control of all three and had em all almost the whole game, but that happens so rarely it's not worth trying for.
-
1 ReplyI understand your concern, but sometimes you have to pay attention on whether or not the team is just wanting to switch the pair of points. Usually if we spawn on A, but we feel that the map is an easier B/C control flow then we will attack the third and give up A.
-
I've one many games by locking down two flags and getting 200 points a kill. People don't get that. Everyone goes to zone B and guys killed. If you can get all three that's great! If not, then lock down two. You're absolutely right!
-
I learnt this from the COD days... Spawn trap them! If you hold all objectives they get spawned furthest away from everyone, allowing them an easy capture or two. If my team holds A and the enemy has B and C, I'll try get B a couple times. If it's locked down tight then the solution is simple; go to C, start to cap it but don't always expect to. The idea is to draw people away from B allowing your teammates who are obsessed with B to capture it and hold it while they come running to C. I don't mind getting killed while capturing C as it will then spawn me back at A with my team hopefully capturing B.

2 RepliesFirst of all, if you want to play control a specific way, then you need to be playing with a full fireteam, because there is no way to control the masses of random teammates. Second of all, this strategy you are talking about seems like more of a preference and not something that actually makes sense. If I infiltrate their flag and there is no one around, then I am going to take that flag. If they are not there, that means that have likely started spawning at our flag, so it would be counter productive to run away from their flag without taking it while I had the chance.
