Should there be some measure in place that allows a player who has been killed to deny a revive by a teammate?
Revives should always bring you back
You die. The respawn countdown starts. A teammate revives you. You're back in the game, even if in an awkward position, like taking fire.
You should be able to deny a revive
You die. The respawn countdown starts. A teammate revives you. Click a button to accept, or a different button to deny. If they try to revive you multiple times, you must go through this process that many times.
Revive should not be possible unless requested
You die. The respawn countdown starts. If you want to be revived, click a button. It then becomes possible for your teammate to revive you. If you don't want to be revived, don't click the button and you may continue being dead in peace.

"Screw this! I happen to enjoy the sweet embrace of death!" ... Reminds me of many good times rejecting revives in WoW for the hell of it.

When you die, you'll probably get an option to start the respawn counter or wait for a teammate to revive you. If it works in a similar manner to most MMOs I've played, you'll get a "Y/N" option to accept the revive.

Did you see game play footage at part where female hunter die right at beginning of boss. The warlock did the work then revive the female hunter and shes still able to loot that sniper. Bungie did mention in the interview where if you wonder off in the wild in which you can freely you may encounter enemy that you may not even be able to make a scratch on them If i were to help my low level friends ill invite and let them lay dead till end to obtain high value gears from mission in which they can not complete.

1 ReplyThe only down side of this deny to stay dead is that if theres a quest or some mission that require team play, and some lazy azz guy would use this as advantage to stay dead and let others deal the work and yet mission completed.

9 RepliesIsn't the warlock the only one that can revive people. Since they are the only ones that can also can heal

Edited by goldenzeus: 3/31/2014 2:02:31 PMIf I team up, then it will be with players that I don't know (due to lack of having gamer friends). I would want the final say on whether or not I can be revived, since I may not be able to trust a stranger's judgement.

Why in the world???? Doesn't matter if you wanted to change class and you couldn't those are permanent in game. Weapons you already have on you.

From the looks of how long reviving takes I feel like they wont be a problem like they are in BF also why would you deny them other than being in crossfire? I feel like a better course of action would be you can only revive someone if you aren't taking damage.

1 ReplySomething like Battlefield? When someone defibs you, you have the option of rejecting it.

I'm sure there will be a game mode with that feature in multiplayer but other then that not much point for it to happen
