Keep Progress after Beta?
I personally want to but I could care less as well if they don't. It wouldn't be fair to other after all

By definition the Vanguard are the first to arrive on the battlefield and fight, bit of a stretch, but what if Beta players were the Vanguard that Bungie likes to occasionally mention?

Well no,because we beta testers are there to test the game report ptoblrms,weapon balacing...There will probably be some bugs on getting exotic on easy way (cheatng of some sort) and when Destiny comes out those people would still have all those OP gear,weapons :P That's not fair

I don't think they will, for the people who missed the beta and because people are buying next gen systems so their character would have to be able to be transfered to the new system. Also some people are changing from xbox to playstation or vise versa.

Let's say during the Beta, exotic guns have a 25% drop rate. And everyone goes out and gets the Thunderlord or the Closing Time, right? Well, Bungie decides that 25% is absolutely ridiculous and drops it down to about 5-10%, suddenly those exotic pieces are now hella hard to get for anyone who didn't get them during the beta. This is just a minor thing to most people, but in a game where gear makes just as much of a difference, if not more of one, as level does then you've got way too much competition for the newbies. They'll struggle just to catch up while the beta-testers are climbing ranks like no ones business. Edit: not sure if the Duke is exotic so I dropped it out.

1 Replythe beta is not the game proper , its just a download , it maybe limited scale version of the game but when the beta goes it will be like most demos and say thanks for playing , play this some more this September , and that will be it. we wont be retaining our characters and stuff , they are offering us a taste , not the whole damn kitchen...

I'd much prefer a wipe. I want to start fresh on the retail release. And while getting something for participating would be cool, like maybe being able to keep 1 item of your choice acquired during beta to carry over into retail I think the Trading Cards are going to be the rewards for the fans that have been around since before launch. Unless you're able to redeem those after launch which is entirely possible. I'm hoping the mobile app is out with the Beta too, with the ability to create/customize your guardian, because that would be nice to do before launch, so on launch day you can just jump right into the action.

I hope you have choice to keep the character you made in beta, not leveled up or any thing just the lay out ,how looks ,and simple stuff that won't effect beganing game play or stats, just lets you start playing game quicker then taking six hours to make a character(my sister in skyrim)

I believe there should be a wipe. Wouldn't be fair to the others that don't get into the beta but being in the beta gives you a beginning advantage anyways since you know what to do.

1 ReplySome kind of vanity item would be nice. A piece of clothing, armour, a weapon, a decal, a pet dog. Something.

You will probably get a prize for playing in the beta, but they probably wont keep your characters cause they might have bugs that they fix in the final version.
