What's up with Battlefront?
So battlefront 3 just got announced apparently (I didn't watch the EA conference), and I guess I'm supposed to be drooling over it. But I'm not.
Sounds like a lot of hoopla to me, a 30 second teaser? A 30 second teaser cannot be causing all this hype (enough [quote]to put Destiny on the back burner[/quote]?).
What am I missing?

It was a pretty fun game when i got my hands on it (sadly that was onlly a year ago). My only hope is that i get to ride a TaunTaun into battle again.

People are hyped about it because they've been waiting years for a new Battlefront game. The teaser conforms that we are finally going to get one. Every sequel to Battlefront 2 was canceled so that's the reason why people are hyped about it.

5 RepliesIt's the knowledge of it existing and officially being in development. That's all there needs to be, it's a new Battlefront. Hopefully they keep Hero mode, I want to play as Jedi still.

Clearly you've never played Battlefront 1 or 2 so explaining why we're not just drooling but rather uncontrollably slobbering all over our keyboards would be like trying to explain the taste of your favorite childhood meal or dessert to some poor soul who's never had the good fortune you did; we could explain, but you probably wouldn't understand, and especially if you were raised on more recent games, you probably couldn't appreciate how good the games were [i]especially[/i] compared to the modern ones (even though you might argue tooth and nail as to why modern games are better). Even now I still play Battlefront II on my PC; in fact I just played it again to kill time between conferences. *shrug*

7 RepliesBasically Battlefront was a popular game back in the previous console generation, and a lot of us have been hoping for a new one for years. In that time there have been rumors of it being in development shortly followed by news of it being cancelled. Now that it's been confirmed we've all just exploded into masses of happiness and joy.
