Are you going to play Destiny on the Xbox Or Playstation?

And which console do you think it will be best on? I think Xbox is going to be the better console for Destiny. Tallied votes :/ Xbox: 79! Playstation: 39 Both: 10 Other: 12 Not Sure: 27 Pretty good so far, but it seems like there are more Xbox lovers. PS: Ill try my best to keep this tally up-to-date. To me it honestly depends on which console gives more communication, I have both the Xbox and the PS3 but the Xbox "party" feature is one of the main reasons I play it so much more than the PlayStation. I usually just play PS3 for the exclusives and I tend to enjoy games more when I can play solo, yet still chat with friends. All in all whichever console allows better communication is the one I'm getting Destiny for.

It seems PS4 will be the best for it, what with the amazing control and reach of sharing the experience, I can imagine dropping in a few Mags of ammo to a friend in a distant planet I can't personally reach or quickly taking control and helping them through a rough spot, or even just watching over someone that's in an area you've been frequenting and helping them through, guiding them along the way. It'll make the experience great, can in a way make it seem like having someone watching over you from like a HQ, them watching your moves through a Camera on your HUD if you will. That being said I will be getting it on PS4 and possibly NeXtBox as well if most of my friends will be frequenting it. I know I will be playing with at least 2 on PS4, and 2 probably on NeXtBox. If the 2 people I most play with on Xbox get the PS4 with Destiny I will mainly be playing it on that, otherwise, the contrary.

    • My PS3 is a dust collector, so I don't think I'll be getting the PS4.

Well it depends on if I decide to buy a next-gen console at launch. If the PS4 is getting Destiny at launch, then I expect the next Xbox to have it as well. Here's the kicker, each version will get some sort of exclusive content... In all honesty, unless the next Xbox is a huge upgrade with a cheap price tag I'll probably stick to my 360. I also think each version will be the exact same pending bugs when it comes to updating each platform. The only known fact about which version may be "slightly superior" is Bungie has plenty of experience dealing with Xbox development kits. Now will the next-gen consoles offer a better experience is something I'll have to look into when additional info is released.

Does anyone know if all consoles will be playing on the same server? Or is each console going to be in a separate server?

        • I will probably purchase both versions, depending on how things play out. Xbox for friends, and Playstation for family.

          • I think it will be great on both consoles, but better on Xbox due to Bungie's familiarity with the platform. I'll be playing the Xbox version.
