anyone else got stockholm syndrome from this game
I started playing with destiny 1 almost 9 years ago now and I have never hated a game more in my life but I can't stop playing it. Anyone else have this issue? Cause from what I'm seeing people hate the game but at the same time they love it and can't stop playing. It's a great game and I love it but dear lord you should never start because you will never escape. (edit: I've realized people didn't notice I was joking, to be fair it wasn't phrased like one so my bad sorry)

No, I have no problem like that, not playing D2 is easy for me. D1 can't really be compared to the D2 beast though. I used to play more D1 in a day than I play D2 in week.

Pull up a chair and let's have a drink together about this. it is a beloved game but unfortunately there's so many things wrong with it. You honestly don't even know where to start there so many things that is there is a getting wrong but we've put into so many hours into this game. No problem is if we ever quit this game whenever coming back not even to check. Bungie just so many past disappointments have become a pattern so once you leave this game and there's no coming back

I got into destiny 1, played and grinded till destiny 2. I’m not as much into grinding content anymore which allows me to put the game down for long periods of time almost never playing it again. I went into destiny 2 salty about things I grinded for in d1 that never dropped. I look at that as an incredible waste of time. The last thing I grinded a lot for was redrix broadsword. That quest broke that destiny spell on me. That quest was too much. By the time I got the weapon I didn’t feel like playing the game anymore especially pvp. Now I just hop on destiny here and there. Bungie turned me from a more hardcore player into not even a casual lol. My point is the grind is too much. There is a time limit on grinding. If you get an item in any game but end up putting the game down right after the grind is too much. If you grind and never get what you’ve grinded for it’s not only too much but you’ve wasted your time.

After that, between D1 and D2 I've taken long breaks of 6months to a year, coming back only to play a few weeks before tuning out again. I just came back a few weeks ago after about a year break but I played only for 2 days. The game has great combat gunplay & mechanics and immersive gameplay but I, like some others, came to realize some time ago that Bungie will never make the changes that will make the game better for me personally. Since then I just enjoy the game for what it is, so to speak.

They play out of habit and have gotten stuck on the BS F.O.M.O that these pathetic businesses push on people, and use "live service" garbage work to do it. Gaming businesses use to at least try to create quality types of games while trying to make a profit until the garbage idea came up with garbage work being produced called "live services games". No, it's not hard to stop playing a game that a business admitted they don't give a crap about quality work, that admitted they don't play test their content, that lies to their player base face and has to manipulate their player base to get them to buy their content. The game isn't the problem, it never has been. It's the people running the game that are the actual problem. Get rid of the problem and your problem will go away. That last part is only wishful thinking, but 100% fact 😂

I've spent time fixing up my house over playing this broken stupid game. I got 6700 hours in it but I had to delete. My fireteam did the same thing so uninstalling was easier anyway but life your live man F this game.
