Only strand now and guardian rank for lfg.

You had to , you just had to bring strand and guardian rank into destiny 2 ? We were doing fine for years , now i cannot even find a decent lfg team to play a nightfall , dungeon or whatever.
I did the whole lightfall campaign solo on legend with my hunter and thought : never again so my warlock and titan don't have strand but i gilded conquerer for the 6th time when i was only 1810 , was guardian rank 7 , now i am 1819 still guardian rank 7 and i got kicked by a lot of lfg teams because my guardian rank and light level is too low and i had no strand ?????
Excuse me ? What about void , solar and stasis ? Still the best pve supers in the game and it worked for years so why would everything suddenly change into strand and guardian rank requirements ?
Sure strand is amazing and does the job but it is not the only option to do a nightfall , right ?
Call me crazy for equipping solar , void or stasis on my warlock , titan and hunter to do a nightfall ? I play nightfalls for years but never got kicked so many times because of my guardian rank (wich is 7) and my so-called low light level (wich is 1819) when i am litterally gilded conquerer for the 6th time. 😑

5 RepliesGlassway nightfall has a certain meta. 1-2 well lock and 1 strand subclasses is fine for the most part. That's why you are being booted. The other subclasses are kinda useless in the face of a GM wyvern.

Also if you Guardian ranks or power level is low, it shows your not up to date, and might not be aware of recent changes to the subclass and gear you might be using. Guardian ranks are super quick to knock out, the only reason why it would be low is if you don't play harder content. As for power level, if you're too far below, your useless to your team. I mainly use Void Hunter, but have done all subclasses recently in dungeons and nightfalls, so I doubt lfg's are kicking you out that often. Just play well with that subclass, and they'll see it works well.

1 ReplyTLDR… most likely people just being jerks. I’ve done it on every Titan subclass, most Warlock classes and Hunter a couple of times. Subclass choice is open. Just be ready to handle champs and wyverns in boss room. Went from being one of the hardest to a medium/easier GM.

Why not just skip the trouble of dealing with these rude, no home training kids and make your own lfg post that way, you control what happens. Not trying to be rude but that would seem like the solution to me.

If you join kwtd or kick, quick run or any specific requirements odds pretty 50/50 you’ll either have a really smooth run or toxic run where you’re kicked. I always try to join chill lfg for everything so even if it takes longer, I’m generally having a good time using whatever is appropriate. I don’t know what type of lfg you join but it’s worth trying.

3 RepliesIn destiny people used to kick people for having a low grimoire score. Bungie decided to remove grimoire score so that wouldn’t happen. Looks like the same thing is happening now with guardian rank

Literally make your own group, or join a group where you meet the requirements, its that simple

Not the developers fault that some people have high requirements. Same thing for new players wanting to raid, some teams just want someone who has the emblem to prove they'll help get it done quick, not be a carry. There's always groups with high standards, but there's also groups without. Best way to find a team is to make a post rather than just search and hope.

Yes, it is Bungies fault for adding strand into the game as to why people are still(as they always have been) inherently evil. And yes while I agree Guardian Ranking is stupid, I’d also point out, that if someone takes it seriously then I don’t want to play with them anyway.

It’s a way of generally weeding out useless players, although I see people that are almost totally incompetent at rank 11 and people that are goated on the sticks that are rank 7 but knowing people are and aren’t competent of completing content is a good starting point. I can do ~18 minute runs of glassway, jump in an lfg 80% of the time they take 30 minutes +, when I put rank 11 it generally gets me much closer to the first number since gilded conqueror is a pre-requisite. I can only hope they add a rank 12 which is all master raids completed with all master challenges completed from a raid to further weed out players incapable of doing content.

4 RepliesStrand is op for gms! Cuts the time by half because you don’t have to play so passively. I was one of those people creating lfgs yesterday and I had “strand Titan” in the name of the post. If you joined as a Hunter or a warlock you were kicked. If you joined as a Titan but then didn’t change your subclass to strand, you were kicked. It’s my group and the ask was clear before joining. There are plenty of times when I’m dfw or just chillin but this wasn’t one of those times. Don’t like it? Don’t join, find a different lfg, or create your own.

I have strand but don't use it. I usually run solar Hunter. I haven't been kicked or denied from a group yet. My character is also the same light as yours.

It's not helping that stasis is counter intuitive to strand, when this week's nightfall lends itself to strand

Flashbangs do an amazing job against those pesky wyverns and when built right you'll have them back before the blind fades. I personally love strand, so i dont mind putting it on. I normally main arcstrider, but also get kicked from time to time, just because people dont understand the potential. Just move on to the next post. There are Plenty out there

I somehow made it to rank 10 and now I’ve gotta deal with conqueror (next season). It’s just a matter of knowing what abilities can proc which champions. There was never an issue with lives by the time the boss room came so I don’t see why you can’t mix it up. All supers make orbs

2 RepliesPeople are idiots. A friend of mine did all the dungeons solo flawless 69 times each (for the tracker, giggity), and has no problems with any content whatsoever, yet keeps his guardian rank at 6 for whatever reason. Judging anyone based on guardian rank is a wildly dumb thing to do.

1 ReplyWHO CARES?! Play the subclass of the class you're comfortable with, personally i play alot of titan suspend because is super easy and does a good job at surviving and crowd control and even helping teammates staying alive with woven mail, so play the HECK you WANT. have a nice day.
