I guess I’ll be getting a ban then. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Instead of addressing WHY players were quitting, they choose to punish them.

Firstly all the people pouring scorn on what they believe are pvp sweats are always negative kd players. Maybe they should think about what if you launch an easy activity like a strike but it’s always a GM, a lagging GM, a GM that’s mostly navota and you’re locked in with randoms. Sounds amazing. Quickplay should always be CBMM it should be that simple. IB used to have SBMM that’s end game pvp. Comp should have rank based matchmaking and trials card. Used to be easy but the fact is that the company are protecting lower skilled or less successful players.

Now, this is just a small issue I have with your post You don’t add why you leave, as in your complaining and not giving your reasoning Maybe bungie did look at any people were leaving and not agreeing on the reasoning Or simply put, bungie is still trying to figure out how to do it and perfect what they are working towards and people leaving are messing up with the data
-
1 ReplyPart of being mature is accepting the consequences of your choices. You knowingly launched an activity that apparently you don't like doesn't make sense. Then you decided to quit on your team.
-
1 ReplyWaaa I want quit for fake K/D
-
People leaving cause they are tradh at the game and only recently figured it out
-
Does Bungo want dance parties? Because this is how you get dance parties. Hey, PvP cryhards, what's worse: A player quitting and maybe getting backfilled? Or that same player having a dance party instead? Or, repeatedly suiciding? Or sabotaging the objective?

6 RepliesEdited by parallelish: 9/16/2022 7:40:44 PMreasons why people are quitting and if it deserves a temp ban: - rage quitting because you're doing bad = ban - a map you don't like comes up = ban - your opponents are a stack = ban - team balancing gave you teammates you feel are bad = ban - a little bit of lag = ban - Error code / disconnect = shouldn't be banned - a lot of lag that makes the match unplayable = shouldn't be banned - emergency = shouldn't be banned bungie can't know if you had an emergency but a 30 min ban shouldn't be a big deal if you had a legit reason to step away from the game for a little while. bungie has said multiple times that they aren't going to do what they should and invest in dedicated servers so sometimes (probably pretty rarely) you will have matches that are pretty much unplayable due to lag, sorry.

3 RepliesEdited by TheCyo: 9/16/2022 12:24:15 PMThis whole SBMM thing is pure comedy gold. Our PvP Overlords, instead of getting gud, decide to quit games en mass (by Bungies own metrics). And now they get shared penalties with Osiris. hehe. PS. I guess Control will be a sweat free zone any time now

2 RepliesQuitting a match is garbage.

5 RepliesEdited by nonchalantone: 9/16/2022 1:44:29 AMThe IRONY is....if you and others didn't quit, they wouldn't have implemented it. You're literally stating you're gonna get a ban for doing the same thing??? Smh.....
-
Agreed, they should be addressing the reason behind the rise in quitters in Control ( unranked, non competitive pvp)
-
Instead of being banned they should create a server where only the quitters can play with SBMM of course
-
Edited by SquidGuy: 9/16/2022 7:20:06 PMI'm cool with banning players for leaving as long as there is a solo version of the playlist.
There is not.
-
1 ReplyResult of constantly crying of pvp & control. Imo, if penalties are there they would put a solo mode for control, I don’t want to play against stacks of good players which I need to face because I’m good on pvp & need to carry the rest of my team against a stack.
-
Maybe don’t be a selfish jerk by making things worse for the people on your team who stay in the match.
-
31 RepliesMaybe stop leaving every other match to protect your precious kd?
-
1 ReplyIt was far cheaper to go this route than actually do something worth while.
-
16 RepliesEdited by fangfireskull: 9/16/2022 12:32:06 AMYa know, bungie didn't think we needed a quitter penalty when we had CBMM. If enough players have been quitting, makes me wonder how many players actually wanted SBMM. I stay in all my matches, less because it's fun or because sportsmanship, more so thier is a record of how lopsided the matches are.
-
Since when should we expect anything other than the laziest way out with them? This bandaid over a gaping hole stuff is their norm.
-
If just Bungie will fix the games people will not quit. Why would anyone finish a shitty game?? This is a good method for players to give feedback back to Bungie. They are keeping an eye on such statistics
-
1 ReplyQUITTER PENALTY We’re aware that there has been an increase in quit rates for certain lobbies, whether due to connection quality or skill of opponents matched, particularly HIGH-SKILLED PLAYERS. Just to remind everyone where the problem exists. Probably going to catch some heat for this, but it needs to be said… High-skilled player = Stat-padding poosies!
-
2 RepliesIt is a bit ridiculous. Regardless I don't quit, but this didn't stop a 3 stack from leaving my team on altar of flame yesterday...
-
Edited by Chunk: 9/16/2022 1:13:42 AMBungie kinda pointed out in the twab the "highest skilled players lobbies" lag, map, or kd preservation yadda yadda yadda go figure
-
17 Repliesmaybe grow a pair and dont quit
