So if a Titan’s Armor Canonically Weighs Several Tons and We’re Still Physically the Strongest Class…

What does that say about us without armor? How high would my lift take me? How big of a mountain can I carry?

It's almost as if this is a fictional story about fictional characters. It's almost as if video games are fantasy. Lol 😆

  • Does the armor weigh that much? No… Are guardians super strong? Yes. Is it because of their armor? Partially. Take stompies lore tab as an example. Powerful enough to potentially rip off Marcus Ren’s legs using something loosely described as ‘Mechasynapses’. Synthoceps are powered by an artificial organism. The ship ‘The Tall Tale’ tell the story of Andal Brask meeting hunter Tellula Fariwind. Laughing at a humorous commment, she slaps him on the shoulder so hard it KILLS him. Seriously. His ghost had to rez him. Light is part of their strength, sure. But not all or even most of it. In the Red War cinematic where Zavala, Ikora and Cayde are launching their infiltration of the city to retake it, a lightless Zavala overpowers a Cabal Legionary and takes his rifle… the thing looks to weigh a lot. Cabal are no slouches either, their Homeworld has a higher density atmosphere meaning a greater amount of gravity. Later in Forsaken Cayde lifts a massive piece of metal debris off himself in the Last Stand cinematic. Finally every class Solar is proof of guardians having incredible strength; throwing or swinging weapons made from solar plasma which is second only to dark matter in density.

  • No where in lore does it say titan armor weighs that much. Titan armor is based off mid age knight armor which typically had a weight around 100 lbs. This isn't halo and the armor, outside of some exotics, isn't powered armor that let's you lift cars and survive falls from orbit. Any feat of strength you see in lore, is typically due to guardians using their light to augment their strength. I did an indepth analysis and determined that guardians (without using their light to augment their natural abilities) are basically on par with professional athletes as far as physical strength, speed, reflexes go.

Superhuman strength and agility applies to all three classes. Canonically, we are somehow capable of dragging around a maximum of 30 potentially unstable weapons plus ammo and countless attachments in our backpack.

Hmm, interesting. Where did this weight info come from? Cause a few hundred pounds might be believable for the bulkier stuff. But tons? Thousands of pounds? The armor isn’t big enough to weigh that much. That’s cabal armor possibly. That’s very far fetched.

        • It is inconsistent in the Lore, but there is an implication that Light augments the physical abilities of Guardians; at least to the lower end of superhuman like Captain America.

Isn’t the whole point of the armor to make them stronger? They’re not gorillas.
