I get that Voidlocks have a history of charging their grenades, but I just don't really see the point of it. The other three grenade aspects - Touch of Winter on Stasis Hunters, Touch of Flame on Solar Warlocks, and Touch of Thunder on Arc Titans - have similar functions to Chaos Accelerant, but none of them require a charged grenade. As far as I'm aware, charged Void grenades still don't deal extra damage like they did pre-3.0, so what's the point of that function on the aspect? I mean sure, I guess you could say the grenades apply weaken too which is strong, but a Titan can throw an arc grenade that creates a tracking storm or an Ionic Trace spam. It seems like the Void version is just kind of dated now. I'd rather just see the charging functionality moved to Contraverse (since that's the whole identity of those gauntlets) and let the aspect function the same way as the others.

I love being able to charge them. Its fun and makes me feel like a space wizard. What doesn't make sense is why its only one fragment slot.

They don't, aside from HHSN, and I guess Contraverse Hold technically benefits from the charging animation. Should probably just have it match the other grenade based Aspects in terms of Function and Fragments If I had to guess, it was probably easier to port into the new system as is, rather than changing it

2 RepliesBecause it -blaming- nukes everything ya dummy. The question is, why can't they super charge all of their nades?

1 ReplyMagnetic grenade has unique functionality when charged

6 RepliesI would argue, that the charged void grenades are the worst and not worth the 3s of your lifes time to charge up. Warlocks seem to have one useless aspect per subclass where you can clearly see that bungie is not willing to put any creative brainpower into... At this point ist os obvious how neglected the warlock in general is, after the 3.0 updates rolled out. Titan is a second, but it is still good because he looks like masterchief

1 ReplyMight be in part because of controverse hold

Edited by Infamous067: 8/31/2022 4:32:44 PMI was thinking this too, I think the aspect needs to be buffed. Its kind of silly the other aspects on the other classes don’t require charge times. Nothing manacles might have to be changed though because the exotic grants improved scatter grenades already. I was thinking something like dealing damage with scatters or kills with scatter grenades instantly refills the class or melee ability. The tracking will obviously have to stay on the exotic since thats whats iconic about it. Contra verse will need an overhaul too where maybe the armor procs for getting a hit or maybe a kill with a grenade for a few seconds.

3 RepliesBecause mAaAaAgic wOoOoO 👻 Warlocks, the class that Bungie always seems to go 1 step forward and 2 steps back.

6 RepliesThe other classes don't get this option. I don't get what your saying. It's one of the better things about the warlock.

I do agree that it’s a little unnecessary. It is cool at least.

This is a change I've always wanted for voidlock, and it's why I almost never played it over old top tree stormcalller with the original arc web in pvp.

Bud I agree completely but Bungie just launched arc titans and 'locks gatekeeped out of high end pvp content with the resilience bug, they don't give a -blam!- about voidlock problems. If your super set you on fire in real life, they'd be too busy giving Hunters another top damage pve/pvp super to piss on you.
