1 ReplyWhatever keeps pvp alive and keeps attention from bungie on it. I want the pvp to thrive because I find it to be the most enjoyable part of the game.

Honestly I don’t really care about either I just go with the flow, it’s not going to impact my life in a great or bad way so why bother getting anxious about it. That being said I always expect Sod’s law to happen, it always happen from the smallest of problem gaining a lot of use, to the joys becoming sour, -blam-ing one side of the community to satisfying the other, then -blam-ing that side of the community to satisfy the other It always happens.

2 RepliesIt is a mixed bag. No one here will deny that CBMM came with it's own set of problems and woes. The problem here is how the system was implemented. If it were true SBMM, you would see a rise in connection issues and rubber banding, so bad that it would be to the point that a lay person could tell the player wasn't hacking, they just "had bad internet". The game works off peer-to-peer connection for PvP lobbies, so I don't even think a true SBMM system could be implemented. Couple that with blueberries inviting their veteran buddies to a fireteam and getting matchmade into a roflstomp of a lobby, and vice versa. I personally think that SBMM is the better option, as you receive less mercies and have lobbies where you have to think in control past "gun goes BRRRRRRT".

4 RepliesSBMM duh. Who wants to play against others out of their skill range?
-
6 RepliesSBMM has only proven those who farmed their stats to inflate their KD now stand little to no chance against players who actually have more strategical experience than them

SBMM all day.

Edited by Quiet_Bushi: 8/29/2022 8:18:41 AMBeing a very casual PvP player who goes in the Crucible either with friends or just now and then for Bounties or the 3 weekly games, it really doesn't change much to me what kind of MM is used for Quickplay =/ Both CBMM and SBMM have pros and cons and depending on which side of the PvP spectrum you are, you either prefer one or the other.

It can be good but at the end of the day its all comes down to both connection and if you know your class & build in and out accounting for any factor I would care about matchmaking if pvp was worth something (even trials imo). As is I jump in if I'm bored or doing a seasonal challenge MM type doesn't affect my enjoyment all that much at least consciously.

Was lobby balances really so much harder than what they put in? Would LB be perfect? No, they would still be -blam!- kickings but in a game that doesn't have servers, CBMM was so much better feeling than what we have now.
Which one r u
Less quitters/leavers in CBMM also less teleporting opponents in CBMM but that’s just my experience

3 RepliesEdited by Rageous: 8/29/2022 1:38:46 AMSBMM It’s miserable 1. Que times are anywhere between 4-10 minutes. 2. Matches are laggier than ever because we’re matching people across the world. 3. None of my lower skilled friends want to play with me now because of my lobbies.
