In lieu of sleep I am going to tell you what music smells like, with some possible cameos from other senses.
Country music smells like a pig farm or manure. It tastes like corn.
Rap smells like Axe body spray and sweaty gym equipment. Tastes like cigarettes.
Classical music smells like mold, old wood, forests, old books. Tastes like wood too. Yes I have licked wood. No I shall not elaborate further. It also feels like nails on chalkboard.
Pop music smells like candy and hair spray. Bands like Blood Cultures, Chvrches, and Cherry Glazerr smell like rain or the beach depending on the song.
Rock and Metal also vary depending on the song but mostly smell like a car shop or gas station. Oil, metal, rubber. Also smoke and ash from like a bonfire or burning leaves, which I like. They also make my fingers prickly like I just touched rust.
Also important: the number 7 is yellow, because September is also yellow and Sept means 7. The names of the months are dumb.
Red tastes like apples, white smells like snow, black is also ash and smoke, green is either grass a forest or fecking pickles, and purple smells like a flower garden but tastes like cough syrup.
I don't get touch sensations much but when I do it's usually random and unpleasant. Concrete, burns, ice, rust, from just something I see or hear.
I thought everyone experienced this associating senses with others, until about a year ago when I'd mentioned it to a doctor and I was informed that nope, I'm just insane. Insane is green by the way.

2 RepliesOne of my old classmates had this, too. I thought it was super fascinating. If I grew up with it, I’d probably just be used to it, but not growing up with it I can’t imagine what it’s like.

September actually was the seventh month until Augustus and Julius Caesar decided that they were important enough to have their names added to the calendar.

1 ReplyEdited by Cultmeister: 8/10/2022 11:20:47 AMNo sensation is as toe-curlingly unpleasant as that of fingernails on matte paint and/or terracotta. Wood (especially varnished) and copper taste great. Also, the days of the week have colours. Monday - blue. A cold, bland blue, like a formal shirt. Tuesday - a foresty green. Tinged with yellow like a leaf on the cusp of autumn. Wednesday - maroon. Thursday - chocolatey brown. Friday - somewhere between mustardy yellow and burnt orange. Saturday - brilliant white Sunday - dark gold, almost amber. Friday and Sunday are similar colours, but Friday is more yellow whereas Sunday is more orange.

5 RepliesThis makes sense. Why does this make sense?!?
"licked wood". I laughed way too much at this, I still have a mind of a twelve year old.
2 RepliesI still get The Fear when I think about the time I was listening to One of These Days in the dark. That was like... the intense odor of burnt matches and some otherworldly being bursting through the ceiling like some sort of deranged, homicidal Koolaid Man. NEVER AGAIN!
