We’ll continue from here Blaze, to keep things from glitching out.
“There aren’t too many places left to check. I’m sure you’ll find it. Do give me a proper show when you come up short, hm?”

-
Your plan works, and the trooper reels back, before the shadow strikes him and knocks him out, before withering on contact with the armor. However, the other was still on the attack, and goes to grab you from behind, his hands glowing.
-
Blaze tries to act like he doesn’t notice the guard, then kick his chest at the last moment, and make another shadow to knock this guard out. “Well, that’s all of em, nobody else left!”
-
Unfortunately, while you land the kick, the guard learned from how you took out the previous one, and blasted the ground with light, just as your shadow formed, withering it before it grew large enough to strike. He immediately turned his gaze to you, snd fired another pair of light bolts as a counterattack.
-
Blaze tries to dodge them, and send a shadow Boulder at the soldiers head.
-
Unfortunately, that plan didn’t work too much better than the first time, and the boulder was quickly withered down with a pair of light bolts. The trooper seems to be learning from your attacks. Pulling off the same ones you’ve already tried probably won’t do much. And with that, the trooper fires a large light bolt into the ground, which soon turns into a shockwave that goes out in all directions.
-
Blaze tries to steady himself, and throw a lightning bolt at the guards chest.
-
The trooper blocks with one of his gauntlets, temporarily disabling it. Having not done anything about the shockwave, however, it hits you full force, and throws you to the ground. While you were down, the trooper closes the distance, and uses his active light bolt to fire at your chest.
-
Blaze tries to jump to the side, and send a shadow foot at his back
-
You’re lying on the ground, so I’ll translate that jump to a roll.
You dodge the bolt, and the kick lands cleanly, sending him tumbling forwards. He winds up tripping on a vine, and stumbles to his hands & knees. His hands begin glowing, as he readies an attack, but this might be your chance.
-
Blaze makes a large, two handed shadow hammer, and tries to bring it down on the guards head.
-
Since you didn’t have a dodge action this turn anyway I’ll give it to you for free, but for the record, when you’re knocked to the ground you do need to say when you get up. This whole sequence can be interpreted with Blaze slithering alomg the ground, because he got knocked down and never got back up. :p
Just as you bring the hammer down, the guard flips over, so his hands are facing upwards. A small bolr strikes the hammer’s head, causing it to shrink considerably, and then a second, much larger bolt is fired directly at your chest, point blank.
-
Blaze tries to block with the remaining hammer.
-
With it already in a weakened state, it does little to hold up against the blast, and it disappears completely as you’re struck with a heavy blast in the chest, sending you stumbling backwards.
-
Blaze tries to act as though he’s knocked out.
-
After you don’t move for several seconds, it’s not the trooper that makes the next moves, but the vines. Slowly, they begin to shift, and crawl over your body, getting ready to drag you to who knows where.
-
Blaze has shadows chop through them.
-
Your shadows begin cleaving through, but for the moment you’re still held down. “Hmph. Nice trick. Too bad all it did was leave you open.” The trooper said, firing a heavy light bolt towards you.
-
Blaze tries to block it by having a shadow grab dead vines, and put them in front of the blast.
-
Thoigh your plan worled, the shadows holding up the vines soon dissipated, sending them falling down on top of you. The cultist didn’t relent, immediately getting ready to fire another blast.
-
Blaze tries to make shadows cover him in a vine armor, and he sends shadows to lash at the cultists legs.
Are…you good?
-
What do you mean?
Unfortunately, there weren’t enough vines to cover you completely, but you do manage to block most of the blast. The vines, however, seem to be absorbing the light, and after taking the second blast holding them close begins to burn. However, as the trooper readied another shot, your shadows struck him in the legs, knocking him over, and giving you an opening.
-
Blaze tries to push them off, make a shadow club, and knock out the cultist.
-
Your plan works, and the final trooper falls unconscious. SAYU appears next to you a few seconds later, and a few gravity drones began flying into the room to carry them away. “Good job!” SAYU said.
-
Blaze lets out a sigh of relief. “Thank you.”
-
“Mhm!” SAYU says. With the troopers down, you’re free to do whatever you came into the garden for.
