Alignment: “I’ll make sure every nook and cranny has been seen. Are you sure you all will be fine?”

Alignment: “Then we’ll have to think a little differently.” He retrieves the balls Fukua dropped and uses 6 balls to make a double bladed sword configuration for extra range, using 4 to form the hilt and one for each end of the hilt to form the laser. He begins to spin the weapon to prepare to strike.
-
Double bladed sword means Darth Maul style, right?
The bottom two hands push off of the floor, causing the thing to leap into the air. Once it was above you, two of the hands clasped together for it to come down and smash into the ground on top of you!
-
Correct
Alignment slides out of the way, but keeps the weapon where it is so the hands come down and hit one of the configuration’s lasers.
-
Though your plan works, the hands don’t seem to react much. It looks like this thing only reacts to being struck in the core. Fukua manages to come up from behind it, amd the four arms position themselves so that there’s two facing each of you. It goes to strike at her with an overhead smash, while the arms facing you go for a right hook, followed by a left.
-
Alignment creates one more ball, making seven in total as he alters his configuration. He sends three balls to his left as a mini shield and repeats his process to the right, all while throwing the last one directly at the red thing.
-
As it gets close, your sphere evaportates into red light, and a beam is immediately fired at you, though luckily blocked by your shields. The fists crash against the shields as well, causing you to stumble back a ways. Fukua manages to slip out of the way of the attack thrown at her, but doesn’t get close enough for a counter.
Ranged attack absorbed - max sphere count temporarily reduced to 9
-
Alignment adds another ball to each shield and charges at the red thing while holding it up to protect himself from the hands. He tries to strike the target with them when he gets closer.
-
The heart throws a punch at you, though it’s deflected by your shield, letting you get close and slam one of your barriers into it. It gets launched towards Fukua, who strikes it with a slash of her hair, causing it to bounce wildly around the room. Eventually it stops near the wall, and a tall pillar of vines grows under it. Suddenly, dozens of shadowy spears shoot out from the floor, all over the room. “I got this!” Fukua said, using her hair like a pair of wings to leap into the air, but she’s immediately caught in a red bubble. “Seriously!?” She yells. “We can’t leave the ground, either!?”
-
Alignment combines his shields to make a platform beneath him to block the spears. Alignment: “You alright up there?”
-
Probably a faulty description on my part. None of the spears are underneath you; they’re scattered around with fairly large gaps around them.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” Fukua said. “I don’t think I’ll be getting out of here any time soon, though. I think you’re on your own for now!”
-
Alignment: “Fine, then. I’ll try something new.” He clumps the balls together in a long rod and activates a laser in between the two that are closest to the edge of them. With the balls now heated, he molds the outlying ball into a spike and charges at the heart with his new pike configuration.
-
As you run forwards, you pass just a bit too closely by one of the spikes, and it lets off a burst of magic, causing several other spikes to shoot up from the ground around it. You luckily manage to avoid them, but only just then do you realize what this all is; a minefield of spears! You get as close as you can to the heart, finding yourself at the base of the pillar its constructed. You somehow had to scale this wall, whuch was covered in spears.
-
Alignment tries to use his pike to vault on top of the pillar and stab it with the pike.
-
As soon as your feet leave the ground, you’re trapped in a red bubble that drags you back down to ground level, before popping. It seems Fukua was right; you can’t jump. You’ll either need to climb it, or find a way up without your feet leaving a solid surface.
-
Alignment: “Very troublesome, but nothing I can’t work around.” He then stands on the pike configuration and levitates it upwards. Once on the same level as the red heart, he rides on it as he moves it forward to thrust it into his target.
-
Man, nobody’s climbing my spike-mine wall! Harumph!
You reach the top, and your spear crashes into its surface, piercing through it’s shell, and sending cracks along its surface. You get the feeling you can finish it off with a SUPER ATTACK!
-
Alignment kicks his pike deeper into the heart. Once he does, he kick flips the configuration off of the pillar like a skateboard to make sure the heart is in front of him and facing the spikes below as he drives it into them.
-
As you glide past one of its spears, the heart gets caught on its tip, piercing it straight through. Several other spikes shoot out from around the central one, several of them impaling the heart as well. Then, they all vanish, as the heart crumbles into pieces. The orb it absorbed earlier rolls out from the pile. Fukua hits the ground not long after. “Nice work.” She said, dusting herself off. “That thing was obnoxious!”
I think that’s my favorite finusher anyone’s used so far! :p
-
Alignment: “You can say that again. How far up do you think this place goes?”
-
Almost as if to answer your question, the wall shifts, forming a staircase upwards, and an opening into the next room. It seems brighter; like it had an open ceiling. “I bet there’s our last stop right there.” Fukua says, looking up at it.
-
Alignment: “Let’s hope so. I’m running out of fight for the day.” Staying cautious, he creates a platform with his balls to stand on, preparing to lift it like an elevator. Alignment: “Going up, Fuku?”
-
“Yeah, me too.” She said, stepping on the platform before it carried you up. Reaching the next room, you find a tall circular chamber. The ceiling was open here, and you could see the glass dome of the garden far above you. “It’s too quiet.” Fukua says. “How much you want to bet we’re about to get attacked?”
-
Alignment: “The question isn’t if we’re gonna be attacked, it’s by what we’re gonna be attacked by. I bet my hat that it’ll have something to do with vines.”
-
“Yeah, that’s probably a pretty safe bet.” Fukua said, with a small laugh. Just then, the opening above you, and the exit behind you get covered by vines. The vines on the floor begin to rise up, and coil into the figure of a woman. Unlike the rest of the creatures you’ve fought, this one was fairly detailed. In fact, it looks just like the woman from the statue, only instead of half her face being a skull, it was a smaller version of the pulsating heart you had just fought, resting inside her head. ”.........................? .................... ...................... ............................” The thing let out a string of sounds that vaguely sounded like speech, but you couldn’t maje out the words. Fukua immediately got on guard. “Alright, let’s kill this thing fast and move on to Aubrey!”
-
Alignment: “Well, hat, it looks like we’ll be sticking together for a while longer.” He once again forms his pike configuration and extends the laser forward to make the configuration longer, making him able to poke the creature without moving from his position. Alignment: “Try not to jump! If this thing is similar to the last one we’ve fought, then we should avoid aerial combat.”
