Your strings manage to slow it down, but it’s clear they won’t hold for long. You manage to land a clean slice across its surface, which knocks it to the side, where it broke free from the bindings. The leg crashed into the ground, sending a ripple through the floor which put the two of you off balance. It followed up the attack by baring its fangs again, launching a spray of acid drops towards both you & Fukua,

[i]Alignment tries to avoid the acid, not wanting to risk permanent damage of his balls by using them to block it.[/i]

You and Fukua both manage to slip out of the way, causing the acid to melt through a hole in the ground. At the bottom of it were several upwards facing vines creating makeshift spikes. You & Fukua were on the opposite sides of it. One of the spider’s legs turned horizontally, and began dragging along the ground to push you in.

[i]Alignment splits his balls into 10 to make a small staircase to the side to avoid the leg and to get higher ground.[/i]

Your plan goes off without a hitch, and you’re now standing on top of one of your orbs about face-level with the spider. It rears its fangs again, to launch another barrage of acid at you—this time at point blank range’

[i]Alignment tries to kick the ball he stands on into the mouth of the spider to clog up the acid and prevent it from leaving the spider’s fangs.[/i]

Your plan works even better than you’d hoped, as the ball slams into its face, sending it reeling backwards, until it crashes into the far wall. Only, there was a catch.. With every step the beast took it send a ripple through the floor, and as it crashed into the wall several spiked vines shot out of the flopr, ready to impale you as you fell. Fukua had luckily managed to grapple to the wall to avoid the spikes on her end.

[i]Alignment uses his strings to swing on the balls into the air in an attempt to land onto the spider.[/i]

You swing over to it, and land on its head without much issue. Fukua soon joins you, using her hair to climb along the walls. As soon as you were both on top, a hole opened near the back of the spider, and several smaller—but still rather large—spiders began rushing you.

[b]Alignment:[/b] “Keep them off of me and hold on tightly! I’ll deal with mama spider.” [i]He uses his strings once more and attaches them to the fangs of the big spider, using them as reigns and tries to move it into the pit.[/i]

“I’ll see what I can do, but no promises!” Fukua said, moving in between you and the smaller spiders. She began firing several energy spheres, which kept them at by for now, but they were slowly gaining ground. After you tighten your reigns, the mama spider let out a loud screech, and began thrashing its head about in random directions to try and shake you off, spraying small bouts ot acid around the room as it did so. At the moment, it was only stepping side to side, trying to knock you off its back. Its head moving so violently was making it hard to keep your footing.

[i]Alignment tries snapping the reigns and pulling it forward to get it to move where he wants it, making sure to dig his heels in between the head and thorax of the spider to stay on.[/i]

It begins taking a few clumsy steps fowards, still trying to resist your pull. With each step it took a ripple was sent through the vines in the ground, causing it to quake back and forth as you walked. You’re almost there when it begins pulling back again. This time it begins tapping all eight of its legs against the ground, making the whole room feel like an earthquake. Behind you the smaller spiders were gaining ground. One leaped for Fukua, but she managed to impale it with her drill, and it fell easily. Two more jumped for her, and proceeded to get smacked off the sides, towards the trembling ground below. A third was about to leap, but her spectre met it before it did, and chucked it off. She seemed to be getting tired.

[i]Alignment uses more of his energy to chain his strings from the fangs of the spider to between each of the spider’s legs and finally to the baby spiders to hold them in place, giving Fukua a moment of respite and an opening.[/i]

Fukua doesn’t seem to take the hint that you were giving her a moment to rest, and instead uses the opportunity to take out a few more of them before the bonds break. And break they eventually did, breaking your reigns, the hold on the baby spiders, and the web catching the big one. It wasn’t necessarily to an ill effect, however, as the sudden burst in movement causes it to stumble forwards, crashing face first into the wall. Although the impact knocks both of you off your feet, you’re both still on the spider’s back, and it’s standing right over the pit. You just need a way to knock it in—either by taking out its legs, or pushing it down. You feel yourself well up with a sudden strength. Emough to pull off a SPECIAL ATTACK!

[i]Alignment uses his strings to grapple above the spider and begins to configure his weapon into a hammer rather than a sword to directly smash the face of the spider until it falls into the pit, making sure to attach his strings to Fukua so she doesn’t fall as well.[/i]

Before you make the first swing, Fukua lets out a surprised gasp. “Shamone?” She asks, as her hair suddenly parts, revealing a large sharp toothed mouth on the back of her head, her hair seems to grow, and wrap several tendrils around her to keep her still, as it turns into a large vaguely wolf-like head, with two massive arms made of hair coming off its side. Shamone breaks free from your strings, and leaps towards the spider, crashing its conjoined fists into its back for the first hit. The spider’s legs slide along the ground slightly, but it doesn’t fall. Shamone leaps onto the floor. Your attack comes next, and your hammer comes down onto the spider, causing its legs to slip even more, though it’s still not enough. Shamone climbs back up the wall something like an ape, and leaps into the air. You swing your hammer down one last time, just as Shamone’s fists crash into the beast, and your combined blows finally knock its various feet from their place on the ground, sending it tumbling down into the spike pit. You manage to catch Fukua in your strings again as Shamome retreats back to its more normal-looking hair form. Once you’re back on the floor, Fukua immediately sits down, now with a throbbing headache. “You can make a hammer with that thing, too?” Fukua asked. “And a pretty heavy one, too, look at that thing.” She looked over at the spider corpse; its legs still pointing up out of the hole. [spoiler]I hope the team attack didn’t feel like me trying to steal the spotlight. I wanted you both to hit it together for the final hit, but Shamone is pretty different from the rest of her attacks so it took a bit of explaining. >.>[/spoiler]

[b]Alignment:[/b] “And you can make a dog-man-thing with your hair, too? Just what exactly was that?”

“Uh, it’s complicated.” She brushes her hair to the side, and on the back of her head was that sharp toothed mouth. “That’s Shamone. He’s the reason my hair can move, and stuff. Usually he doesn’t do much, but when he’s awake he controls my hair, not me.” If you’re paying attention, you may notice something about the spider corpse. The red light was still bouncing around inside of it.

[b]Alignment:[/b] “That’s neat. Think he can finish off that monster? It looks like it’s still alive.”

“I can’t really control him, so probably not.” Fukua said, standing up. “That said, I’m sure we can!” Atthat moment a pulsating red [i]thing[/i] shot out from the spider’s corpse, and began floating in the air. After a few seconds it began radiating dark magic that took the shape of three large spikes. They fired at you, crashing into the ground at your feet, piercing through the vines on the floor before vanishing. After a few seconds it began to form three more, and you get the feeling this time its aim will be better.

[b]Alignment:[/b] “Move, now!” [i]He splits his ball into 8 and creates 2 clusters of 4 for shields, giving one to Fukua and running around the thing.[/i]

The spikes fire off as the two of you start running. You manage to avoid the first two, while the third crashes into your shield. It immediately summons three more to strike again, but it’s hit from behind by one of Fukua’s energy spheres. Its spikes change target, aiming for her, giving you a chance to attack!

[i]Alignment bashes the thing from above to knock it to the ground.[/i]

All three of the spikes hit Fukua’s shield, breaking it, and knocking her to the ground. Luckily, your sphere crashes into the thing from above, causing it to fall quickly towards the floor as well. When it gets back up, dark magic extends from its core, forming four shadowy dark hands. Fukua tries to fire an energy sphere at it, but it gets absorbed & countered by a laser, which she dodges. “Careful!” She says. “I don’t think we can use ranged attacks!” [spoiler]Since your ranged attacks are multi-functional, I’ll let you know it [i]can[/i] still absorb them, decreasing your max count by 1, but anything absorbed will be returned at the end of the fight.[/spoiler]
