TLDR: We had a gun that helped mediocre players. However our streamers and sweaty try hards didn't like hard games so we've nerfed the shit out of it to make them both feel better and pub stomp again. Deej out...

  • Let the best players have <1.0 sec ttk guns, while the unworthy are relegated to >1.5 sec ttk guns. Then create game modes where the unworthy are thrown into the pit with the wolves. Makes perfect sense.

  • Needed nerfing you tool. How the -blam!- does dying behind cover from a fire team spamming hardlights equal a good game.

If you see nothing wrong with your first sentence then you will never be able to comprehend why but thats fine. You prob also though OEM was fair and balanced on release or HHSN+Contraverse Hold was just fine.

  •
If you see nothing wrong with your first sentence then you will never be able to comprehend why
Fine, take away a digital AR that helps the unworthy... But, what you don't seem to be concerned about is: after stripping the unworthy of every good gun, why then does Bungie throw the sheep in with the wolves with their matchmaking. You seem to think that the very best weapons should be given only to the very best players, and for what?... so they can demoralize the unworthy?... and so streamers can produce more "clobberin time" videos. Makes perfect sense...

  • You probably think the hunter super retention glitch is fair. I see you make no mention of that.

  • Not fair at all, and our knives were to good last season, and while on the topic wormhusk prob needs a look at. Now we are done proving im not on the bias train can we move on with it was a needed change for PC.

  • Maybe it was a needed charge for PC. However HHSN was good on console. Now it's not usable. Try it. Maybe it needed a nerf of a kind but because of all the complaints fro. The PC crowd bungie didn't just take a hammer to it... They went to Bethesda and borrowed a Fatman and nuked HHSS. Shoulder charge was fine on console though annoying. I dont think it deserved the nerf it got on console. Titans were built to smash. Now it's like the titans all suffer from depth perception on console. Hit registration is very poor on console now. If the pc and console sandboxes were kept separate, then I'd be ok with whatever changes bungie decide to make however I don't think bungie can do that anymore. They've lost too many people. The PC crowd is killing the console community and streamers are part of the problem. They've all moved onto pc and flat out refuse to comeback to console. I believe Destiny Fun Police made a statement about it. Yes, Destiny is superior on PC. Yes the frame rates and the FoV and the just about everything is better. But when PC crowd cry about something to point of getting something changed that negatively affects console users... That shit ain't fair yo. Just look at the difference between top tree dawn blade on warlock. Take a look at the flight time difference between console and pc. Take a look at the discrepancy between classes on PC vs Console. It really may as well be a different game. I wish it were treated differently. But it isn't. If you are fortunate enough to have destiny on a console and PC, just see for yourself.

I dont say other wise. But you are getting people actually admitting they lacked the skill bandwidth and this helped them close the curve. While I do no know how aggressive that curve is for console. For PC it was a needed. Be upset at bungie for not properly separating sandboxes, not a needed change for PC. & thank you for the civil & educated responce. The are-u-crying-huh is a tool for that type of answer.

  • Funny thing is; here on console hardlight was being used less and less before they announced the patch to nerf. Wel, for me, I came across it less and less in crucible. It really wasnt that great on console. Just alot of people used it because it's now the season of the Autos.

  • It didn't "help" mediocre players. It's a crutch that fools them into thinking they're not mediocre by artificially inflating their performance in matches. I'm a mediocre PVP player and even I can see that. When nearly every PVP match looks like this: https://media.tenor.co/images/8854948de11655343dcd251e3f1a87e1/raw ... it means something needs to be done to prevent one weapon from thoroughly dominating the PVP sandbox. The nerf isn't even that bad, honestly. I'm just glad Bungie is finally separating PVE and PVP changes again.

  • Oh yeah, I know they have separate sandboxes, different damage values, etc. - but this is the first time in a long while where I remember seeing a definitive line in the sand drawn between a weapon's specific behavior in PVE vs. PVP (re: the ricochet damage multiplier). I could very well be wrong, but again - it's just nice to see them making the differentiation.

  • I do believe you are correct. I do not recall a change like this being made before... Now if only they could implement in all the guns.

  • Hopefully a sign of things to come! There are a lot of changes that could be made for the overall health of PVE and PVP. Differentiating weapon performance in each sandbox is absolutely a step in the right direction.

  • I have a love/hate thing with fusion rifles. On the one hand, they're unique weapons (when compared to almost everything else), fun to use in PVE, and vaporize things in a very satisfying way. On the other hand, every time I run into one in Crucible, it's in the hands of someone crouching by a corner like a pansy.
