Bungie, you messed up when you destroyed pinnacle weapons and you’re messing up again by making weapon rolls that we’ve farmed for obsolete. I’ve played D1 since launch but I will not be buying your next expansion. Good luck

Yep. Fooled me with the cores debacle followed by the solstice armor and glows two years in a row ( all I wanted was to have them and every other legendary be universal ornaments). Now you tools about making weapons we grinded weeks or months obsolete for endgame activities. Do you dip Shits really think I'm going to pay you for this garbage? HELL NO!
-
You sound like the bad guy from Taken... GOOD LUCK!
They've been lying for a lot longer than six months. "In the months to come, your quest to become more powerful will have more avenues that lead to satisfaction. The last thing we wanted was for you to look at your favorite gun or helmet and decide that it had become obsolete. Since the reveal, we’ve read a lot of ideas for how this could have been done better. Your feedback is clear: The time you have invested in your stuff should be respected." So much for promises.
Bungie says they Time you invested into your stuff is respected by them....

These weapons we use in Destiny are not stat sticks like other MMOs. They look, feel, and behave in certain ways that appeal to different players. I’ve handled and fired weapons of all types. Some I love and others I hate, either way when I find a gun that I love that gun never leaves my side. “Old faithful” if you will... after I’ve grinded hours, days, or weeks for the right rolls and masterwork on a gun that I love. That gun is going with me everywhere and to make it obsolete because “play testing all these weapons takes to long” is absolute -blam!-ing bullshit. Maybe if you came up with a better excuse I wouldn’t be so upset, but you literally told us your multi million dollar company is too lazy.

I haven't bought season of dawn and it was the best thing I could ever do.

The fact anyone spent any money on D2 at all is mind blowing. I've been playing D2 for free since forsaken. Lol. Sure I miss out on things and I can't partake in some events until much later on but big deal. I'm no FOMO. I'd rather just wait and get the stuff 1-2 years later for free than waste money on this game. Bungie is a shitty company and does not deserve my cash.

8 RepliesThey really haven’t because they have made the grind ridiculous for so many things in This game. D1 didn’t have nearly as much grind. If I recall like smith said he wanted us to not have to grind as much and wanted to respect our time. Right.......
-
1 ReplyYet those who are upset about this are probably still going to log in or buy the next expansion. Bungie is doing the same thing over and over. It’s not going to get better.......

I remember back in Destiny 1 around House of Wolves launched and Bungie said they didn't want to disrespect our time. I am still waiting for that to no longer be a lie.

18 RepliesEdited by Wes: 3/1/2020 3:22:33 PMLet me get this straight. The forums want this for every expansion: 1. Meaningful loot tied to activities. 2. Powerful loot 3. Their gear to still be relevant and good indefinitely. Okay. That will 100% of the time introduce power creep or make new weapons appear meaningless. Period. So now Bungie is facing the problem and feedback that there's so much to do, so many activities in expansions, and none of it matters. Well, there are three ways to address that upon a major DLC release: 1. Nerf the previous meta every time. I hope this doesn't need explanation as to why that's a garbage idea. 2. Release weapons that are inherently more powerful in terms of stats, perks, damage, etc. in order to overshadow the previous meta. Sounds good on paper, but what about 2 expansions down the road? 3? Our power would grow without bounds to the point where the gsme would have to be designed around that power. How do we know that? The disaster that was Reckoning. I for one do not want the release version of Reckoning to be present throughout the entire game. 3. Put a infusion cap on weapons. This will bring value to new weapons immediately without diminishing the effectiveness of our previous weapons in non-endgame activities. Right now, no new SMG on console will be considered by the majority of players unless it's better than Recluse. No shotgun was considered at all over Ikelos until Threat Level was released. Heck. The majority of hand cannons users stuck to Midnight Coup all the way to Black Armory, where Threat Level gave competition for the slot. That's the trend. Players did not have a reason to hunt for loot at all since outliers we're left uncapped. Put a cap on those weapons and now all of a sudden, new weapons have a purpose. They have value. If these new weapons are at least good and are plentiful, this is the best option. Pick which option you want. But the best is definitely 3.

3 RepliesGo play fortnite

59 RepliesSure let's only use izanagi, recluse and spike nade launchers for endgame for the rest of destiny's lifespan. 👶🍼

I’ve played D1 since launch but I will not be biting your next expansion. Good luck
Biting???

-
it's not like you were going to do anything productive with it
-
Why would you bite the expansion...
-
I am going to bite it and see how it tastes......
-
I see the forums are still pretty much the same as they were 10 years ago.
-
Do what many others are doing. Dont give them your time. If they dont want to take the game serious, why should you?
-
2 RepliesThey've never respected our time. There's a reason we start two areas away from where the actual mission starts.
-
1 ReplyEveryone was happy in D1 when we got infusion, Idk what these devs got the idea that players want their stuff to be obsolete after a while. We are actually regressing at this point and for anyone that didn’t get the hint, they also said those guns you worked so hard to get in the last would eventually come over to the new seasons which means guess what? More recycled content. You got that god rolled spare rations? You ready to get it again?
-
40 RepliesThe only person not respecting your time is YOU ! Quit playing this broken game - it will not get better. Respect your time and move on and leave it behind. I quit last May along with most the other players I rolled with and it was the best thing we ever did in our history of gaming together. The only thing worth keeping is this community here - the game however - is trash.
-
I quit Destiny 1 when they did this. I will quit again.
-
3 RepliesThey might still be under the impression that D1 to D2 losing all out stuff was a good move. I still miss some of the weapons I never got back in D2, Gally, Icebreaker, etc. This is just that dumb move, ALL OVER AGAIN.
-
5 RepliesSigh you completely miss the point, they’re doing this for a couple reasons, d2 was power creeping and that creates too many issues. They want to make new weapons interesting and fun to get, they want to be able to make pinnacles or pinnacle like weapons of power again but if they can’t shelf them down the road then the issues they create will be nerfed down the road and that just pisses people off. This new system literally has to be better so those who don’t get why it’s happened don’t leave. If there was ever a choice bungies made that could better the game it’s honestly this one. To sum up, we will get better rituals or pinnacles back, power creep problem is addressed so fewer powerful weapon nerfs, more interesting loot in each dlc.

Yea these last TWAB’s are enough to push many away. They have already proven they can’t do seasons right. They announce this information and expect what? Players to by next DLC or Destiny 3? No it’s now free to play and we don’t have to give them any money going forward. Assuming we even want to play anymore. They screwed up going free to play. Oh we won’t get the season level thing and access to some stuff? Ok I’m here for gameplay at this point or just crucible/gambit.
