Honestly I've never had an easier time in crucible now that half the community is shotgun rushing. All you have to do is be patient and make them come to you and gun them down before they get in range. Being perfectly frank, I probably die way more from recluse than lord of wolves.

Damage fall off for most consistent weapons, especially to “spray someone down” happens around 25 meters. This gun has a .2 second ttk capability even at 20 meters with release the wolves. So you essentially have how ever long it takes for them to walk/run 5 meters before you’re in range of being one hit by LoW. Not a very affective counter in my opinion.

Most of the shotgun rushers though don't camp till your in range they just assume they will kill you and run across the map give ing you plenty of time to gun them. Also I believe they need to pick up 1 ammo brick in order to do the release the wolves perk so typically they are only shooting 3 rd bursts when you engage them. Not too mention most of the people I've come across can't aim and miss most their shots if your being agile and mobile

When everyone in crucible is using it because its the best gun in the game currently, there won't be any problem finding special ammo, trust me.

Ya out of 12 crucible matches I only ran into lord of wolves 3 times.

Comp isn't too bad, and if you patient then just play 3 games a week and regardless if you win or lose you get a bonus of 120 points at rest. I've also found that mida minnie tool is a good counter for recluse. Especially if you run peace keepers on a titan, you get an insane speed boost.
