I believe this may have been answered, but I can’t find any info on my Google searches; what are the devs doing for the veteran players (those who have 1) bought everything for Destiny 2 from day 1 or 2) bought the core game and DLCs)? Are we getting a discount code for Shadowkeep? Are we being reimbursed? What kind of bone are they planning on throwing our way?

3 RepliesWhat has bungie done for veteran players absolutely nothing & if you start out in D2 your not a veteran player. Those who started out in 2014 to 2015 are

If you're referring to New Light,
Really? That's not how the world works.
Prices drop over time. Its not a big deal.
-
3 RepliesYou’re getting a special seal called ENTITLED
-
1 ReplyNope. We’ve gotten our money’s worth out of Destiny and made sure Bungie can continue on for at least another couple of years. Expecting any kind of “gratitude” for purchasing prior to the F2P drop is pointless. I get the question, I can see where it comes from, I’m just brutally pragmatic about these things.

Probably an emblem.
-
dont have to waste time getting mida rat king acruis or any other y1 content that we no longer do
-
Would be cool if veteran players get extra bosses/enemies in shadow keep based on past encounters between D1 and D2.
-
We'll probably get an emote and a an emblem .
-
3 RepliesWe usually get some cosmetics. Other than that, we've had 2 years of entertainment with relevant content. Shock horror, the value of old things depreciates. Welcome to "Life".
-
Didn’t you get the “Thank you for your service” emblem?
-
You get to enjoy the increased focus on microtransactions since idiots are promoting that the game is entirely free to play now.
-
Nothing, havent you been around since D1 beta?? Expect an emblem at best.

You got to play all this time. That s what you got. Talk about entitlement
-
We get all the friends and memories made since Day 1... You can't put a price on that.

Edited by GrundleBeans: 6/8/2019 7:52:15 AMYou mean besides the slew of D1 veteran emblems we got on day 1 of D2 already? Or the Veterans of the Hunt emblem, shader, 2 exotic emotes, and bundle of consumables we were given at the beginning of Forsaken for buying the D2 base game and first expansions? Maybe they will give us a new emblem/shader/sparrow/bundle of stuff, which you shouldn't expect to hear any details about until the month before Shadowkeep, but there's no way in hell you should expect some sort of refund or discount. That's not how they've ever acknowledged veterans.
-
If you are a veteran player from either d1 or d2 day 1 you should get an emblem saying veteran d1 or veteran d2
-
Nothing. Wasn't that obvious from the get go?
