Man, it's depressing how negative these forums get sometimes, especially when we get a glimpse into Destiny's future (which is something we're always asking for) Obviously it's good to temper expectations until content release and we know exactly what the game will be like. But so much of what has been heard today is good news for the community and the game. 1. Offering the base game as free to play to encourage more players to try it and friends to join. 2. Returning focus to PvP which has been missing for months 3. A Large new content drop with dungeon, raid and destination (many people thought we'd only see a season pass next year) 4. Cross save, and expanding to new platforms (google) 5. player depth with armor customization and artifacts 6. The ability to pick season content instead of buying a full pass 7. And all the other little things that I can't think of from the shear info dump I love destiny, and I love the community I interact with every-time I log on. Otherwise I don't know why I'd even be on these forums in the first place.

  • I for one am happy with the content and vidoc. This game is finally on the much needed path of correction albeit late but better than never. I don't regret sticking it out this long and can't wait to be able to bounce between platforms at will!

  • Just finished watching the ViDoc. Another slick production. Not pre-ordering, and doubtful of buying it period.

  • Look you can have your own definition of what reskin means. To me, bringing back an old destination, doubling it’s size, adding lost sectors, adventures, new public events, a planetary dungeon etc is more than just a re-skin. The shadowkeep is this giant castle tower we’ve never even seen or been to before. I do agree that these returning bosses from our past seem contrived, but i’ll have to see more to determine if it actually feels like a cheap reskin.

  • You really think it's good news that they are giving the game away for free now. I don't know about you but when I pay top dollar for a priduct and then find out they are giving it away a few years later after faithfully hoping and supporting their mostly misguided efforts, I find that kind of like a kick in the balls.

  • Agreed. “Here’s your emblem, Destiny vets.”

  • We paid that money to get the game at launch. This happens everywhere, movies cost money in theaters, and then show up free on tv months later. I don’t get upset i paid for the movie in theaters just bc someone enjoys it for free a year later. This should bolster player count in gambit crucible and strike playlists and perhaps bring new fans into the community.

  • I see, so I can pay full pop to watch a movie that is incredibly well marketed and turns out to be utter trash - for the most part - but be happy that they 'got' me but gave the shit away because it was so bad because that will improve viewership. I see. What was I thinking that makes so much more sense than wondering when they will address the enhancement core issue.

  • I see, you're upset for paying for a product you don't like. I would suggest you stop paying for it. I think it's weird that people demand refunds for games they did not enjoy.

  • Its depressing because although a lot of it is great but much is not addressed as it pertains to feed back and player frustration. And to be honest it looks like despite all the awesome news the content for D2 year 3 will be content light. And many of us worried about the season pass being like was this year. Grindy repetitive tasks, no change to the weekly grind, time gates and forced drawn out questlines, no vendor refreshes or new loot, rewards hardly matter, end game grind that seperates players...cores and other quality of life mechanics.. People remain frustrated. Thats all. We universally applaud the pricing model, cross save, and more players in the sanbox. Bravo. Now help us understand why we are wasting time nerfing the power fantasy and not addressing infusion or the sandbox?

  • Stop drinking the Kool aid. Bungie earned every negative comment they've gotten.

Weird how people refuse to be lied to, ripped off and deceived over and over again, isn't it? But you can always show your support by hopping onto the new Eververse with more options to spend your money than ever before!

  • Those players are welcome to walk away. No one should feel obligated to play a game they don’t wAnt. As for past mistakes bungie has been blasted for years, not sure why we should automatically put down future changes that most of the community wants just bc of bad decisions in the past

  • Those players are also welcome to stay and remain skeptical. No one should feel obligated to ignore a game they are seeing potential in.

  • I have no problem with people being skeptical, i mentioned that we should always temper expectations before a release. My post is referring to the pure negative attacks and nonsense. I think carefully constructed feedback is always welcome

  • Anything that isn't violating the forum rules is welcome. That's not really your decision after all, neither is it mine. Bungie has an impressive track record of lies and greed, all the negativity around this game is nothing but their own fault.

  • Man i don’t wAnt to argue, obviously people are free to post what they want. I’ll go elsewhere to find a destiny community to share ideas with. I appreciate you reading and responding to my post.

  • btw reddit is a perfect echo chamber for fans these days. A few days ago I was downvoted into oblivion for having the audacity to ask if Season of Opulence can be purchased individually - you know, the thing they just announced for all seasons going forward. If you think that those people are more "positive" because they act like Bungie's Chihuahuas, then that's your community.

  • Sorry you got downvoted for an innocent question. I’ve never really been over there. I do want to check it out though, Hopefully they name call less.
