My teammates... Otherwise... I'd say myself if it's a 2D platformer.

For me, the Handler from Monster Hunter World. She just eats all day, constantly throws in a "we" even though she does none of the work, nearly gets herself killed several times and has to get saved (at which point she'll say that "we" make a "great team"), and, to top it all off, has an annoying voice. Never have I hated a character more.

8 RepliesHaving to escort a character that is just faster than your walking speed and just slower than your running speed JUST MAKE THEM MATCH MY PACE DAMMIT!

The destiny ghost is a winner for me.
without ghosts the guardians can't go through doors, nor call an elevator etc, ghosts probably dress them too. good thing they're dead or whatever, no need to eat nor use a toilet. "how to use your arms: for dummies." -lost with the archives. no one knows anymore, it's like idiocracy, but worse, somehow....

Your companion is down, your companion needs help, you are too far away from your companion, "heeeelp I'm being attacked!". I think the only case of a competent character in an escort mission was in The Force Unleashed. Other than that, it's like running a daycare.

Difficulty spikes are so stupid. You'll be doing a level, and then all the sudden there's this one miniboss that is somehow harder than every single other boss combined up to that point and its friggin impossible to beat.

Not really useless, but characters who give you things. Let’s just say I start a new character in an RPG but I’m already pretty good at the game. Some guy goes up to you and gives you the best items in the game because why not. I mean, you can’t just drop them because they’re like, the best items in the game but it’s so annoying when this happens. Or high level characters who follow you around and kill everything for you.

If you’ve ever played fallout 4 and you’re trying to complete some quests, Dogmeat is so annoying. Like, in the quest “Unlikely Valentine” when you actually make it to Valentine the dog almost always blocks his path to the doorway and ends up glitching him out so you have to reload an old save.

That thing where you can’t get postmortem kills with hitscan weapons. Like seriously, they are so lowwwwww and just need one more hit to put them down. You both fire one of at the same time, but by some luck their bullet hits you first, and you die. Your bullet just bounces off.

2 RepliesEdited by Uncanny_Vale: 5/17/2019 3:09:06 AMI hate “survival” mechanics like the need to eat and drink. I also hate status effects like “diseases” that debuff your stats. I realise some people like that stuff but to me they are just annoyances that get in the way of enjoying a game.
