I just really think nova warp is too over powered. I mean, I've killed it several times and run from it several times, but I've also been killed by it, then killed again on spawn by the same super. I feel it's length is just too much. Just my opinion

And yet, Every night I still encounter opposing teams of 4 Hunters in Gambit and teams of 4 or more Hunters in The Crucible. I wonder why. But I totally agree with you on the re-spawn issue. That should not happen. The re-spawn protection issue is an old one. Still, there are many maps in The Crucible that re-spawn protection is non existent. And by reviewing Bungie's track record, I don't think the issue in Gambit is gonna be addressed any time soon.

The blast radius is absolutely ridiculous and can hit you through walls almost constantly, let alone the fact that each kill heals 25% of your health, and if you don't spam the teleport, it initially lasts longer than nearly any other super. It can also effectively kill any other super in 1 hit, which would be fair if other supers could do the same to eachother (Dawnblade can take 2-3 swords to kill one Nova Warp / Arcstrider user. Don't even get me started on how laughably broken Blade Barrage is as a shutdown super in comparison to Nova Bomb or Thundercrash, especially with Shards of Galanor. Biggest cop-out super since D1 Fist of Panic.

I care that I can't kill the bastards bc the armor is so high it takes 2-3 rockets (which they can teleport dodge), 3-4 shotgun shots (u will die before u get them off), or 3.5 clips of primary ammo( 4 people teamshooting sometimes works). 9/10 u just hafta run away. Running away sucks. Same with hammer Titans etc. Supers should have a 50% damage reduction/overshield OR health Regen on kills n that's it.

I really only meant for this to be a civil discussion about this super. The respawn 2nd kill has just happened to me multiple times in a very small amount of time. I've been respawn killed by other roaming supers several times, as well, though not nearly as regularly. But this seems to be a constant problem with good players running nova warp. I think it's actually a pretty cool super and I'm glad warlocks have something really cool, because they never have before (dripping with sarcasm) but I'd love an adjustment to be made because, in my opinion, it's pretty much out of control in the crucible right now. Yet I never called for a nerf. Honestly, I was just hoping we could discuss this like adults and maybe come up with some cool new ideas for how to kill it. Like I said in my original post, I've killed it on multiple occasions, so I'm in no way saying it's unkillable or anything. The whole deal with the blast going through walls is pretty weak, though. That should definitely get fixed on any super that kills through walls.

2 RepliesIt's OP af. No reason for Nova Warp blasts to go THROUGH walls. They also have blink, and are super tanky to the point where it's up there with Titan supers. On top of all that, they have a stupid shotgun grenade that instakills. I have no idea who thought it was a good idea to put all of that stuff on one subclass, but they need to be talked to.

19 RepliesIt's a super, wtf would you rather have it do? Titans can throw flaming hammers at your face from across the map and are nearly invincible. They can literally turn themselves into a missile and launch themselves into your face. Or they can shoulder charge your face for an instant kill, and that's not even a super. Hunters can turn themselves invisible, can clear out an entire room with knives to your face, can one shot you with GG in the face from across the map, can nullify your super and lock you down with a purple bow to the face. All of this shit, and you're worried about a floaty purple glowy boi? Warlocks finally have a good PvP super and everyone looses their shit.

Cataclysm and Vortex Novabomb need a damage (PvE) and radius increase, Vortex needs a duration increase (it should last at least 12-15 seconds), and Cataclysm needs more aggressive tracking for the Seeking projectiles it splits into. The Seeking projectiles also need to not be occasionally destroyed by the initial impact of Cataclysm. If possible, they should change it so that the projectiles are swirling around Cataclysm Novabomb as it travels through the air, and detach to track enemies when it gets within tracking range.

13 RepliesI think 3 things should change. The blast radius should be reduced on the charged explosion by 10-15%The super energy should drain 15-20% faster while a charge is being held and it shouldnt be able to reach through walls, something none of the other supers can do.
