Warlocks suck at jumping
Seriously I started an alt warlock, and almost all my deaths are from not making jumps. Any advice on this or is the warlock just a weaksauce jumper.

Been a warlock for 3 years use burst glide or focused burst whatever it got changed to in this game. Next go buy super mario 2 and spend all your time playing as the princess. thats it the princess float is now mastered

It's not that it sucks it's that some people have a hard time using it. I can make just about any jump that the other classes can as warlock. From D1-D2 warlock jump will be my favorite. It's all about them double taps.

Main a hunter in d1 and started one in d2. Got bored of it so I tried a warlock. Hated the jumping at first. It was the cause of all my deaths in the campaign. After 10 hrs or so of play I don't think I'll go back to my hunter.

1 ReplyThe warlock jump takes a certain level of skill and whole lotta practice, I've been a warlock main since before the dark below, and I can go really fast with it. Keep practicing

Yes, warlock jump sucks. But there is a trick to it. When you go for the double jump, or glide or whatever. It makes you go in the direction you are currently moving, so if you want to go high up, you need to jump and immediately hit jump again.

I just suck at jumping..titan, warlock... i float as an orb waiting to respawn much better

Double tap jump for a vertical boost. Plus try out the different jump modifiers for each subclass.

Never had an issue Warlock has been my main since Beta in the first Destiny I always hear ppl complain about it I never had an issue with it,I mean it’s not a titan jump lol but I still love my Warlock

3 RepliesAll classes have terrible jumping abilities. Warlocks don't climb as high as Titans. Titans, if you jump to high, it will lead to your death. Hunters have to be perfect every time, if not you have to try again. Since I main a lock, I'm very skilled with its jump. My Hunter is not too bad but it sucks when you are trying to get to higher spots. I hate my Titan because I've died so many times while trying to land.

This is how I see and use all classes: Hunter- standard platform jumping. Jump-jump-jump as needed Warlock- glider, best used by using jump-jump in succession. Jump again to fall from glide. Titan- lift/boost, best used by using standard jump, use lift after initial jump to steer where you are going. When switching classes, just take a quick minute to practice jump a few times in patrol. Try confined areas too, to get used to your head space.

It's fine. I main a lock and have 0 issues playing other classes. The air control is amazing and can hook around corners in PvP when gliding backwards

I would main Warlock if it wasn't for the fact that it has the worst jump I've ever seen in my 24 years of video game playing.

Here are the strong suits for each class' jump Titan- reaching high places Hunter- mobility in the air Warlock- soft landings and gliding

4 RepliesIt's not the long jumps, it's the short ones. I hate just trying to hop up on ledges but I accidentally start gliding, and just float there. Going in and out of glide is so slow, I wish they'd make it a little snappier. There's always a feeling of residual weightlessness.
