I've never spent a cent on micro transactions in any game, and never plan to. Buy why is it such a big deal? If you don't like it don't buy it.

What micro transactions are in this game? Is it same as D1 (emotes and ornaments) or something more annoying?
-
Everything in modern life is a micro transaction.
-
Agreed. Nobody's forced to buy them but everyone seems to be annoyed.
-
Probably buy something the next time I'm drunk, shit happens,it's a game.

Edited by SixFootDig: 9/6/2017 6:26:30 AMSeriously huh? I cant you believe how some people think. I mean why tell Bungie "hey keep adding more and more micro transactions. Its just dumb. I don't think its game breaking at all at this point but if enough people are dumb enough to post crap like OP one day it might be game breaking think this post is just rediculous and completely counter-productive for the community.

Don't like don't buy is a non-argument, it literally says absolutely nothing. It's the internet equivalent of someone getting mad and screaming "I'm right now shut up!" in a debate.

If your argument is "micro transactions shouldn't be in a 60 dollar game" go check out every subscription based MMO out there and then comeback.

I love them and I'll buy what I want . Usually Only at festival times though
I've never spent a cent on micro transactions in any game, and never plan to. Buy why is it such a big deal? If you don't like it don't buy it.
F--- ALL micro-transactions, royally so!!

Edited by Kire Noloc: 9/6/2017 7:49:57 AMIt's not really about giving a shit. Let's say I personally was raged about it and did my part to not buy any of the stuff on the store. For every one of me, there are 100 others that WILL be buying stuff on said store. It's a losing battle and why micro transactions are here to stay in the industry. The public WANTS it, despite what the angry minority on the internet claims. I can't blame Bungie here. They're a business first and foremost. Get that money. But also you can't be surprised by this. They dipped their toes in the water in D1 and now they're gonna go even further with it to see just how much they can get away with.

As long as it is only cosmetic stuff I don't really care. If you couldn't earn the cosmetic stuff later on through grinding or achievement, I still don't care. If it becomes gear is when I'll care because then it is a "pay to win" scenario and that, my friends, is bullshit.
-
Like if you are taking a pre launch dump like me! Like again if you are taking said dump while reading this. ( I am while typing hahahaha)
-
Some of the stuff ive seen in d2 is actually worth buying
-
Wait... I think I did something wrong, I liked this because I don't have a problem with micro transactions. Is that what this meant? I get so confused sometimes.
-
Yep, don't care.

24 RepliesTo Everyone Who Reads This, The Bright Engrams Are Basically Boxes Of Treasure From Destiny 1. HOWEVER You CAN Earn These Engrams On EVERY Level Up Just Imagine The Motes Of Light Turning Into Bright Engrams. There is no pay to win it is freely available to everyone and you are guaranteed at least 19 before finishing the Main Story. Those who have paid already are simply impatient.

I have not a single -blam!- to give about microtransaction
-
I'm not a dumbass, I've watched youtubes of people buying and opening stuff you buy with those and they were all SHIT. Nothing I wanted and nothing that was even useful in the game. Suckers are, well....suckers. But I'm not gonna hate, it's their money they can spend it how they want. I paid for the game I'll grind my way through it like I did in vanilla.

1 ReplyAs long as they're kept reasonable and can be accessed in some way through in game methods, I have no problem.
-
3 RepliesThe best part about the "slippery slope" argument is that 3 years later they''re introduced the ability to buy A CHANCE to get an EASILY EARNABLE perk that gives you a BARELY NOTICABLE boost. In 3 years! At this rate of "slipping" what's the danger? That in year 10 you'll be able to buy an almost useful gun?

Yeah neither have I. Well, on Destiny at least. Can't say the same for other games.

Edited by minigun800: 9/6/2017 3:15:12 AMIt's annoying because it's getting to be a continuously more aggressive marketing scheme, and letting them do it now, will make us pay pretty badly in the future.
-
3 RepliesIsn't everything in life a microtransactions now, you pay 7.99 for netflix, 5.99 for youtube, 7 bucks for a fast food meal, 5 bucks for an extra few gb per month... the list goes on and on.
-
3 Replies"Don't like it, don't buy it" is a bad mentality. No one is putting a gun to my head telling me to buy it, but allowing this slippery slope to continue sliding down is only saying that we are ok, with it, and that others can do it too.
