Did you seriously expect to be shown everything ?
Come on, seriously ?.
The games not out for several months and this was a "gameplay reveal" not "We will show you every single planet, mode, strike, weapon, class etc etc in the game!"
Don't you want some surprises ?
Don't you want stuff to discover for yourselves ?
Very harsh to call it an expansion or a DLC based on an hours content.
Sorry but I think some people expect way too much at this stage.
It looked good, not amazing, but good, enjoyable and I'll be interested to see more.
Am I alone in that take on things ?.

In a way is good for them to get crazy about it. Just hopefully the developers listen to what people are seeing so far but in reality you can't really judge the game till release. We are far from it and that can give them time to step up to the concerns hopefully.

2 RepliesI'm felt too much was revealed, and with YT and Twitch streamers are posting footages all over the places, it kills the surprise elements of D2. I want that awe feeling when I start playing the first mission when D2 drops.

Definitely not alone. This community is just toxic and cancerous as always. It astounds me the people that take time out of their day to come to a Destiny forum to shit on Destiny... People are far to entitled in here. I've said what you said on multiple posts today - It was a one hour event... The first one. Why do people think Bungie blew their loads and showed us everything? When have they ever done that? There were like, 4 different streams for TTK. 3-4 for RoI. Both expansions. We'll be teased with bits and pieces all summer for a brand new game. But yet all these people crying and whining about reskins and overpriced DLC after one hour... Smh

The first story mission reveal was a scripted run. If it had been a proper play through and not basically a guided tour as well as the new titan class appearing but not being available for play during the event. When I see video of someone actually playing the mission and it still looking that amazing and that immersive then I'll give it a pass. I actually don't mind that so much. I mind the 4v4 only PvP. That's complete trash.

In terms of playable content, no. That said, there are things they probably deliberately avoided - because everyone has been complaining about them since early D1 and they're still not fixed. That worries me. On a different note, seeing how big the beta was in relation to the full game the last time around I don't really expect them to have a crapload of hidden content in store for us. It's pretty much going to be the same amount of content as D1, with a bit more emphasis on patrols. Do we want to go down that road again, with months of doing the same crap over and over again while waiting for DLC that'll only last a month before that is old too?

1 ReplyLess talking, more showing... Most of us watching have played D1, they could have walked us through the main differences without giving away too much of the content. What were the major changes or improvements? I like to "SEE" not hear, so I can fantasize about what drops I might get. I really don't want to see the story missions or too much of the raid(s). I would rather experience that for the 1st time with friends. Mostly I just want a reason to be excited.

That isn't what bothered me. In terms of content I'm sure it'll be fine. What I didn't like is that they didn't say if they were going to address the more technical things that plagued d1. Examples: how often are we going to have to wait for balance updates? Is it going to range from weekly or to multiple months? Are there going to be dedicated servers (which is a no). Is what you're using a different engine so when we ask you to fix a legitimate problem in the game so you don't use the fake and lazy response of "well hur dur engine is weird"? To put it short, I just want to see some showing that they're actually working/fixing these things that has plagued d1.

Yes, i expected a full playthrough by radbrad. All story missions, exotic quests, and the raid. I also expected the trailer for the first ans second dlc, every farm location and exploit guide.

My biggest issue is that the game is only a couple months from release and this is the first gameplay we've seen. I wouldn't be concerned if D1's launch hadn't been such a shit show with everything, but past experience with Bungie makes me apprehensive about the state of the game/amount of content compared to what they are hyping.
