http://www.dell.com/en-ca/shop/productdetails/inspiron-15-7567-laptop/ni157567_bt_s514e So gaming I've been considering getting a laptop for a while. I want to use it for gaming and school. Power isn't much of a concern as I'll have plenty of opportunities to charge. The Dell laptop above is the model I'm considering I've read good reviews about it and it seems to be the right choice for me as it has the specs I want. It's 1250 CAD or I believe 900 USD. I'd be interesting in splitting it fairly evenly in between school work and gaming. So do you think it's a good choice or is there better for the money? I'm also not willing to pay any more then 1250 CAD. Is a gaming laptop even a good choice for school work?

    • It seems just fine for light-medium gaming. However, depending on the games you play and work you do in school 256 GB may fill up quickly.

That's about a mid range PC. You could get the same thing for a lot less if you were to get a desktop, however if you have the money and want the mobility it won't disappoint you.

      • As long as you don't mind the extra weight, I actually prefer the extra power for school work or day to day use. Everything feels smoother, loads faster, etc. I currently use a Razer Blade Stealth (ultrabook), but I miss my Razer Blade (gaming), because it felt much smoother in daily use and for programming in CS courses.
