DDoS in Trials

I did a double carry and at the last match and we luckily found these cheaters. In the first round one of them is left, then i said "this will be easy"...Oh wait. In the second round me and one of my teammate were kicked out and my internet connection is totally crashed (i couldn't use it with my phone too for a 2 minutes). I hope bungie will swing that Hammer And there is some more interesting matches in their match history [REDACTED] [REDACTED] Ninja Edit
I've taken the liberty of removing the gaming account names of the person(s) who you stated were cheating. Bungie takes reports and game bans VERY seriously, and so they carefully research those reports against their server logs for actual shenanigans (cheating/exploits). If those reports and the investigation bear fruit, the cheaters will be dealt with. But things like making a vid, creating a topic, and/or naming them here on the forums serves no purpose and has no benefit. If you have used the in-game report tool, then you've done your part. And thank you for doing so. For those who who want to take the extra step, or were kicked from the game (and are unable to access the reporting tool), Bungie has created a Cheating Submission Form that allows players to find the PGCR (Post Game Carnage Report) from their personal history, fill out an official report, describe the cheating, and even link a vid (if they have one). Please feel free and encouraged to use this tool, but pay close attention to the warnings on the form. * If you are not confident that a player was cheating, do not use this form. * Abuse of this contact form may result in account restrictions. * Fraudulent reports and submissions unrelated to cheating may result in disciplinary actions against your account. • Hello DeZRR. If you believe you encountered somebody cheating or using nefarious means to gain an advantage, you can also report them here using the Report Suspected Cheating Contact Form: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=13967 There are instructions in this Help Article on how to proceed with reporting someone if you were unable to do it in-game. The in-game reporting tool is still the most efficient way to report potential cheating. You can find further information on the in-game reporting tools here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12960

      • I looked up the players you posted about. One of them has a high percentage of matches played against deserters, and exhibits that same pattern playing on multiple characters, and with different fireteam members. That is exactly what I would expect to see in a player's match history that is using DOS attacks to boot opponents. Based on that, I think it's safe to conclude you were the victim of a DOS attack. Anytime you believe someone is cheating, report them in game. If you can't report them in game, and you are sure they were cheating, you can use this form: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=13967 FYI, anyone can file a report using the above form. I will report them. That said, posting names, even through a picture, video, or a link to a Post Game Carnage Report, is considered "name and shame", and against forum rules. It's likely a mod/ninja will edit your post to remove the link you posted. It's also possible that you could recieve a forum ban. That policy exsits to protect the innocent. In most cases, posts like yours have no evidence of any misdeeds. That's not the case here, but they will enforce the rules in all cases.

        • If you actually want Bungie to do something, use the in game reporting tool. It might feel like that does nothing, but it does more than posting it here, which will do nothing.
