• Frame rate Ill take 60 fps over anything, hell, i already do. Playing warframe at all low, with 400x600 resolution

  • Depends on the resolution. 720p for instance just looks bad, it's like looking through a foggy windshield.

  • Frame rate. I'd rather it be in 720 with a stable frame rate than 1080 & deal with stuttering.

I love what Halo 5 does, scaling resolution in order to ensure 60fps is always maintained. Would love for more games to do it.

    • I watched it earlier. I gotta say it's subjective

    • It depends on the game. Faster titles that absolutely need the precision and where the dev was enough of a mong to think Frame dependent physics is a good idea would definitely need to prioritize a high, stable framerate first and take what they can get in the resolution department. Anything else is probably fine either way.

    • Framerate over resolution. But graphics over framerate. I would take 30 over 60fps if it meant the game looked a lot better and it was a LOCKED 30fps that had only the most occasional tiny dips.

    • Framerate, obviously. Despite the placebo effect, there is no discernible difference between 1080p and 4K resolution at the average seating distance for the average size tv. The difference that people see comes from the sharper picture UHD offers over HD. Resolution plays next to no part in it.

      • Always framerate over looks. If you play any competitive game (and I mean any) you will quickly see how much it affects your experience.

      • As long as it's over 60, resolution. Although, 120 and 4k is pretty damn sweet.

      • Let me end the debate by saying, how can you enjoy the resolution if the frame rate doesn't let you see more than a frame per second

      • Frame rate. I can barely stand playing at anything less than 60 fps anymore.

        • As long as I'm getting at least 60 fps then I'd rather have higher resolution. If I can get 144fps on 1080p and only 60fps on 4K, I'll take the 4K. But if I have to dip anywhere below 60 I'll take whatever resolution I need to hit at least 60. I love the feel of high frame rate as well so ideally I'd love 144fps with 4K but technology isn't quite there yet unless you can afford two gtx 1080s or the newest titan. I usually play in 1440p and I can get at least 60fps on every game, a lot of games I still get above 100. That's with my gtx 1070.

I question your gaming judgement for not the obvious choice.

        • I'll take a consistent framerate (30 or 60, doesn't matter to me) over prettier graphics any day.

        • Frame because it effects gameplay a lot more then resolution. An unstable frame rate drives away consumers for titles.

        • I'd take 60 FPS 720p over 30 FPS 1080p or higher. I'm sorry, just can't stand playing FPS at 30.

          • A little of both. I prefer 60 fps over 30 any day, but I'm perfectly content with 30 as long as it doesn't dip down a lot. Just like I'm fine with 720p, but prefer 1080. Now that I have a 4ktv that upscales everything, it all looks much better anyway.
