5 RepliesEdited by Spicy Flakes: 8/11/2016 6:11:23 PMYa know, I don't really mind the non stickyness of my trip, but there are two things that annoy and baffle me. 1: sometimes when you lob a nade at someone it will bounce off (I understand this part because its no longer a sticky grenade, its the next part that I don't get) and then do a little spin in front of the target before setting off, thing is, sometimes the laser beam will point away from the target whilst doing its Russian roulette thing and go off, leaving said target completely unharmed. While entertaining to watch, this annoys me because half the time the grenade doesn't point at the guardian when going off. 2: I throw a trip as a trap hoping someone will be dumb enough to walk right on it, lo and behold a target walks up to it,too busy hard scoping to notice they're right on top of the grenade and it goes off, however, rather than leaving the target dead (or at least missing a few limbs) the sniper looks surprised and quickly bolts for cover... I don't get this and it honestly annoys me a bit, I mean I don't need stickyness to my trip, but at least buff the damage a tiny bit to deal the damage its suppose to when someone walks over it, also that Russian roulette thing (while fun to watch) is pretty annoying Edit: felt like I needed to say this, but its like bungie gave us some Looney tunes grenades with how they act

3 RepliesI don't really think you can take the results of a poll that maybe 1000 people have voted on and say "THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN". You need a much, much larger sample size. Not agreeing or disagreeing, just saying that your poll may not reflect the entire Destiny population accurately.

Still play gunslinger as main in pvp and admit was tough to take initially but am getting used to it now and is actually fun thinking where to place them. Done right they can still be potent. Only criticism is the sensitivity should be buffed as amount of times people jump or walk by and your there just waiting for it to explode......!!
-
2 RepliesThe fact that it was changed after almost 2 years of no complaints or issues, is absolutely idiotic. Same goes for the ammo reserves.

15 RepliesEdited by GTLargo21: 8/11/2016 4:06:03 AMThat's like the Titan's bolt grenade sticking... doesn't make sense imo. It explodes outwards, not through the base. I will say that it didn't have any tracking, like other sticks do. I'm a gunslinger and my opinion is that the "reasoning" from bungie was bs. You get kills from weapons while your abilities charge, not avoid battle. They would only be responsible for maybe 1/4 - 1/3 of kills in a single match. (Guesstimate) Either way, I think the damage nerf needs to be rethought on both mine and knife, but the mine shouldn't stick.
-
I also don't understand why a knife throw headshot isn't a one hit kill considering I can be going for a regular melee and if I'm not lined up right or they move a direction I'm not expecting I throw my knife and waste it and have to wait for a recharge.
-
I think that tripmines aren't that bad, still die from them fairly often, however I have not used gunslinger in crucible for a while even before the nerf. Throwing knives I think was not required, it seemed kinda pointless and it effected PvE to (which I believe could've counteracted by a 10% damage buff against AI combatants but i don't know how hard it is). I will accept other opinions easier as I have little experience

2 RepliesWent from Hunter as a main char to Warlock and sometimes Titan. So Hunter is pretty much dead for me.
-
Please make lightning grenades sticky while you're at it. It would be hilarious to turn some unsuspecting opponent into a team killing unicorn.
-
Ok, let's say by some miracle Bungie actually reads this post. It's a grammatical disaster. Why should they take you seriously if you don't even take the time to make your post look professional?
-
4 RepliesIf you want stickies, use a class with sticky grenades. Get over it.
-
-
Yeah sometime that don't even stick to walls and just bounce all over the place
-
2 RepliesI personally think they need damage back, not stickiness. I could only say: "gg" if I ran into a tripmine set as a trap. But getting stuck by a 1HK regardless of what I was... come on.
-
2 RepliesMan, people act like Gunslinger isn't good anymore for pvp. It's still a very viable class, maybe not as good as some others, but still. I've recently run golden gun and have done pretty well. Incendiary grenades are pretty good if you can throw them right and landing a throwing knife still hurts enough to where others are one or two shots from dying (depends on weapon type, I run hand cannons mostly). Trip mine can still be used effectively, you just have to be more strategic and know when you should throw it. It's really not as bad as people say in my opinion!
-
Idk why it wouldn't stick. Its been in since day one. Why change it now?

2 RepliesEdited by Icedancer: 8/11/2016 6:31:30 PMSalty hunters, whenever they get a class nerfed they laugh but when they get nerfed it's cry time.
-
5 RepliesEdited by iMoto Bro: 8/11/2016 7:37:24 AMGunsliger was buffed, not nerfed. It's actually worth using in PvE now. Knives still kill with a headshot, and Incendiary Grenades have ALWAYS been better than Tripmines. So those two nerfs are meaningless compared to all the buffs the class got.
-
1 ReplyI main a Gunslinger, actually... It's not hard to go without the Trip Mines entirely, I've been having a lot of success with the Scatter Grenades. Especially for controlling a hallway/pushing players where I want them. Getting used to the "new" Trip Mines isn't hard either, and it's actually made me a better Lightning Grenade thrower if I'm being totally honest. 😕 If you have the Young Ahamkaras Spine it grants another Trip Mine for you, so you can practice even more. While it might take some adjustment, you can fully work with it or without it. I do want it back to being sticky, just for the sole purpose of not having to run Bladedancer to complete sticky grenade bounties lol.
-
Tripmines were the only sticky without 100 million stickiness
-
1 ReplyMy beef is in PvE. The AI is scripted to avoid the trap even if it is around a corner and they aren't in line of sight, or immediately juke out of the way if placed on the floor, forcing you to attempt sticking a wall behind them thus turning it into an underwhelming lightning grenade with a severe hesitation. At least if I stuck a knight before, it was a chance at one kill and not a total waste, except when that kill was myself because the knight caught it with his forearm and turned to point it at me, but that is the risk you took using a poweful grenade like that as a sticky. They basically just turned it into a non-lethal, single-directional grenade that must be stuck to the wall (at a strange angle, usually) just to have it not go off since it hit some tiny piece of environment and is now dutifully watching the corner, where no enemy will ever walk anyway
-
Regarding edit 2, what exactly is official?
-
2 RepliesOnly reason to use Trip Mines was the stick, other than that they were far to easy to avoid. That being said, any one have trouble with Titan Lightning grenade not working? If the hit someone before the ground they tend to fizz out.
-
4 RepliesIf Spike & Lightning Grenades can stick too!
-
They still kinda do
-
4 RepliesWell I mean, lightning grenades and void grenades don't stick to people. I've never really had a problem with tripmines, but looking at it logically the nerf kinda made sense
