Year 2 doesnt seem to have the same feeling as year 1 did. Maybe its because in year 1 you had to grind raids to get exotics and nightfalls were a bitch, sometimes a little too hard. Maybe its because they have made it easier to get exotics with 3OC. I understand they wanted to take some of the grind out of the game but with the grind you had reasons to play every week, sweet raid loot (kf loot sucks) and exotics. Dont get me wrong I'm still loving and playing Destiny weekly, I just miss that feeling in year 1 especially when an exotic dropped after killing Atheon or Crota.
thoughts? i cant be the only one

I miss that feeling of wonder I used to get when I first started. When you find a blue that's more powerful than what you have and you wonder what else could be out there. Back when we didn't know everything
-
If you want a grind to play The Division.
-
-
I feel exactly the same.

I agree most of the complaints from then was the thorn and pvp were the only ones complaining and still are with the trials we would just grind away with a party of about 8 people and then join a raid together then someone would leave for dinner or life happened and it was more social Poe wasn't a raid but it's still ok then taken destroyed all that the ones who play Xbox 24 /7 were soloing the raid so they made taken king where it was so player dependent that if you couldn't finish there was no reason to play Poe was the same with no saves if bungee would've taken exotics out if crucible and left them pve they would've never got nerfed and the fact all of the gear never got better just replaced with new guns and the old ones made obsolete is a factor also primary burns were taken off for pvp to make it fair but it was fun using solar burn for nightfalls they should've set up separate weapons for both pve and pvp and that would've changed the game completely
-
1 ReplyIt feels different because in year 1 weapons were actually powerful. Then the takentots joined and didn't know what they were getting into and demanded endless nerfs.
-
Year one was amazing. Everybody played and there was decent content dropping pretty regular. Wasn't the best content but it was something. It's all about pvp now. That saddens me.
-
3 RepliesI miss the fun useless glitches that BUNGIE patched
like punching people with your warlock
-
Even then 3oC rarely work. Here comes the ones that say it gives them exotics every try.
-
5 RepliesIn Y1, all people did was complain that this was wrong, and that thing needs fixing. Now in Y2, all you hear is "I miss Y1, Y2 blows!" People = spoilt little shits. Maybe just play the game of you enjoy it, and if you dont, don't play and move on with your life like a regular person. No one is forcing you to play this game.
-
1 ReplyYou miss it SOMETIMES? I miss it ALL THE TIME.
-
I miss the lack of pvp glitches not much else. Year two has many pros and the greater amount of content alone is a bigger improvement I just wish that there were level 42 Crotas end and vault of glass raids. That's what i liked most about year two during the house of wolves both raid gears could be buffed up to 365.
-
Even though content was lacking, the thing I miss the most is my fireteam. We had the best time running vog and Croats end. The laughter, the jokes, and pushing each other off cliffs.
-
I always miss year one. I miss the game feeling alive, with mystery and regular updates. I miss having powers that were actually powerful and guns that hadn't been Nerfed into the ground. I miss being able to up the difficulty of things for better rewards. I miss the old nightfall, with the threat of being kicked to orbit and the better modifiers. I miss the people that have quit the game because of lack of content. I miss when PVP was looked at as the second class citizen it should be in a game like this. I miss having faith in Bungie.
-
I miss vanilla. I've hated or disliked almost every moment after that.
-
3 RepliesYear 1 wasn't plagued by as many people crying for nerfs and whatnot (discounting Thorn, of course)
-
I always missed year one
-
1 ReplyI don't miss a single thing from Y1.

Edited by Drew Peacock: 6/1/2016 2:16:17 AMYear 1 Xür was a love/hate relationship for me. Loved the build to his arrival, hated him when he brought Sun Breakers... for the 6th straight week.
-
Well, playing every week just for the grind is not really fun.

Edited by TripleJ: 6/1/2016 1:13:30 AMI miss never being able to use the HoW ARs because ARs sucked then.

Efrideet's Spear with final round. We used to break so many hearts together...
-
By this time last year, we had 2 raids with PoE to help get the loot from those raids up to max year 1 levels. Now we only have 1 raid and CoE that drops high light level gear, but only sought after for the light levels. So yeah, it is a lot different. We're basically missing a ton of the game without those old raids. That's only a part of it really, which is the sad part.

Sometimes?????? Every. Fking. Second.

Agreed

Everything up to HoW was fun. Then came the rerolling, then Bungie took it upon themselves to make sure no perks were ever as strong again. Then they decided weapon classes should continue to be nerfed. Then the great Pre-TTK nerfening, then further nerfs to classes, more nerfs to weapons and classes, now everyone is happy and tells you how wonderful our squirt guns are and what a joy the crucible is as a result.
