Okay you can snipe, but can you shotgun?
I'd think it's fair to say by now most of you main that God roll long bow/1000 yard stare you finally got to drop. And yeah, you wreck with it. No big deal anymore.
[spoiler]to those who aggressively snipe and never seem to miss, hats off. That's a lot more of a challenge and my preference of load out.[/spoiler]
But it's so rare to find someone now who can really make your jaw drop handling a shot gun now. Shot guns and are very easy to out play now that the range was cut in half and shot package being removed. In my opinion, excelling with a shot gun is much harder to do now. And I'm not talking one maybe two kills I mean that gunslinger putting you down over and over rushing you non stop slaying your -blam!-ing team.
Just my opinion. Really most of the threes I run is nothing but primary or quick scopes. Who's still running into the sniper lanes after all this time??

As someone who is exceptionally mediocre at both (I snipe a lot more because it's more fun for me) I feel as if shotgun is easier at a basic level. So a player who just got destiny would most likely have more success with a shotty, however once said player has used a sniper for a while they will most likely reach the relative skill cap for a sniper, whereas mastering the shotgun would take a little longer due to the high risk, high reward nature of using a shotgun.

At this point I don't mind being shotgunned or sniped, they'll run out of ammo eventually, all I hate right not is the damn Doctrine. I have to use it just to compete in most games because so many other people are using it. I'd love to get my bounties done with other autos lol

12 RepliesShotgunning is the easiest special to use. At least you have to land head shots with snipers to be precise. Any noob can pick up a quest conspiracy theory d and rush and kill you. No need to aim for any part just hit foot, head, torso, legs. Honestly, just coming back from overwatch. Destiny pvp is so unbalanced, laggy, and pretty shitty. This game has so much framerate downgrading becuase it's also on last gen. It's servers are not dedicated makes a lot of people lag like hell. And it's pvp is a sweat fest. I just want to relax in the crucible but I can't becuase everyone is rushing me with a shotgun or trying to be that one God sniper with shadestep and wombo.

No, I'm sorry, but running towards someone using well placed wall cover to close distance without being hurt, then one shotting someone from 2 yards away is not difficult in any way. And neither is checking for movement across a huge sniper lane whilst scanning your radar for impeding threats, getting kills with any type of special except for sidearm is far easier than any other type of kill in this game

I usually only snipe with my hunter Now that they fixed melees and buffed warlocks I can't get in range without dying with my hunter. But pull out my titan with invective running striker with helm of inmost light, look out baby Shout out to anyone who can be versatile at both long and short range I just started running titan as my main, used to be strictly hunter. Its amazing some of the loadouts you can run with titan, especially the ones involving shotguns
