Stormcaller Super=2 Supers?

Replying to a post in another thread for me thinking about this and reminded me about being killed by this skill the other day. So stormcallers have a pretty strong friggin super, moderate armor and whatever but the super on average cleans house better than most. Now strikers have 1 option as far as the super goes really and it's fist of havoc, you can use death from above but let's be honest. It's extremely situational and most people pass on it. So I got to thinking about stormcallers super options and just realized that their ability "landfall" basically just gives the flippin stormcaller fist of havoc ON TOP of having their own roaming super. Now I'm not calling for a nerf or buff on anything, i just wonder how people feel about this and how it honestly hasn't been brought up. Thoughts? Edit: For all that aren't reading and just going immediately to yell at me, I didn't call for a nerf, nor does this even bug me. Just an observation.

  • Landfall is not even close to a FoH. FoH has a wider blast radius, and can either leave a damaging ground pulse for a few seconds or produce a slow reaching ground wave with limited range. Landfall is...none of those things. It's got very limited range and it can't really insta-kill a guardian unless they're right underneath it. It baffles me when people try to compare them both. You never read into details or anything!

  • Storm caller didn't need to be touched when the needs were handed out... Also, to the motard who said hunter's BD was never nerfed, you never played vanilla destiny did you? Super duration, super armor, blink, QuickDraw, arc bolt grenade... What else am I missing that got nerfed in the subclass? Now before I get hate, yes, super duration needed to be slightly toned down, yes blink needed a big fat adjustment, but why was QuickDraw toned down? And arc bolt?...

    • If landfall was as good as foh then dont nerf landfall. Buff foh. Give it a larger aoe or something. Stop nerfing things because theyre "op" to make them not op just buff the things that they get compared to.

    • Used Landfall in front of 2 players, they didn't die and I got shot to death. Since the damage nerf, you now have to be perfectly under to the Warlock to die. And players still complain about it.

      • Landfall only benefits the user in an incredibly rare situation. Otherwise you need to rush to use it which leads to immediate death from: snipers, shotguns, fist of panic.

          This has been brought up. Landfall cannot kill any super that has armor, and any guardian with an over shield. It's radius is also extremely small. Storm Callers have a weak neutral game and a strong super. That is what the class is built around. Edit: Since there seems to be some confusion on what I mean by "weak." YES the melee has amazing range, but that is one part of what makes up the neutral game of any class. Melee strength. Grenade Strength. Bonuses provided for melee kills/hits. Passive Traits. (That are not directly related to the super.) Class Specific Exotics to buff passive traits/abilities. (That are not related to the super.) This is how I would list the classes. Amazing Neutral Game: Sunsingers and Nightstalkers Great Neutral Game: Striker, Blade Dancer, Voidwalker Good Neutral Game: Gunslinger, Sunbreaker Weak neutral Game: Stormcaller, Defender

          • I agree. On top of that a ridiculous melee range. Not to mention the exotic gauntlets giving landfall for free. frustrating but also easy to stop.

              I -blam!-ing hate all supers in pvp TBH. Every time I play rumble it's like ring around the rosie with each guardian using their super on me. *spawns *dies to GG *spawns *dies to stormcaller *spawns *dies to nova bomb *spawns *I actually kill a warlock *warlock uses self res and grenades me to death

            • Landfall normally grants one kill upon activation but (unless you have impossible machines and use them) you have to give up ionic blink......which has helped me defeat HoS because his hammers missed when i blinked.(also when i realized that HoS needs a buff)

              • I just do the same thing to storm caller that I do to blade dance and golden gun, if I have a FoH I use it on them, if not I put a lightning grenade down between us and haul ass.

                • Landfall is like having a super melee or a shotgun; you have to rush in close for it to be usefull. Just like rushing with a melee/shotgun, the odds of getting shot are higher than the odds of succeeding. The stormcaller armor during super isn't that great. Two people focusing on a stormcaller, mid super, can take him down. I quit running stormcaller because I'd get killed to quickly while blasting lightning around. I main a voidwalker and I feel it's much more successful.

                • All the warlocks are OP, considering how easy they are to play compared to hunters. Hunters are (mostly) balanced and titans are UP. Smoke and Quickdraw are slightly OP. Juggernaut is OP but it's on a normally crappy class so it's more a necessity than a problem.

                  We were fighting a Warlock the other day, his life was so low that if the wind picked up just a bit, he would had died, but anyways, I swear he must had been like 30' in the air, he activated his special and killed me. That shockwave hit me with the force of 10G. I was not mad about dying. I was actually mad that is wasn't windy that day. Damn you Mother Nature.
