Doctrine of Crutch
The Doctrine still cant be outgunned by anything. I used a MIDA, Last word, First curse. And I still always get outgunned
Its funny This was a Salt post I made after getting killed by a whole team of nothing But DoP's for 3 matches strait. but it is interesting to see how some of you started attacking my Character, That does prove my point. To all who attacked my Character. you must have no "real" reason to counter my Argument. That is all.
The gun is sorta Balanced, But I'm just not a fan,

I am ridiculously sparatic at The Crucible. I can go 21- 8 on one match, then the next I'll go 7- 16 lol. But so far I've found that the Monte Carlo, haakons hatchet, nl shadow 701x and even my susanoo fusion gun (I'll usually be left with a sliver of health with this one) can slap down doctrine users. And I'll treat doctrine users the same as I treat snipers. Lead with good grenade placement. Also I usually have an 'out', a doorway I can slide to if I need to refill health. Warlocks can have fastest recovery time.

If you're getting out gunned by an AR with a scout your distances are all wrong.

You lost me at "still cant be outgunned by anything" Fact is, doctrine is outgunned by 'everything' outside of its effective range. Try having a ranged gunfight doctrine vs a mida or something and see if you outgun it. You wont, because theres a thing called damage drop off outside of effective range. If your dying to doctrine, try use range and cover to your advantage! If your not good enough to engage a doctrine user at close to mid range...then dont! You will get shredded. But thats on you to avoid. If your average like me, and rush a doctrine user..your asking for trouble. My kd is currently only 0.9, but im getting better every week just by grasping the fundamentals. If a certain gun kills me, thats on me. It doesnt mean the guns op. If i rush a doctrine user and dont shoot first, ill usually lose the gunfight. If i run around in sniper lanes..ill get sniped. See what im saying? Its about awareness

1 ReplyNothing is a crutch in this game. Anyone can use any guns and any subclasses, but everything will never be balanced. Truthfully, though, the damage nerf to doctrine in the April update was unnecessary. It barely did anything to it. What really needs to happen is its range and magazine size to be looked at and reworked. It's got incredible range, and has a ridiculously large mag for that type of weapon.

Full auto the last word and 9 times out of 10 you will beat the doctrine

Have you tried the Hawksaw? I can beat them pretty handily as long as I shoot first. You just have to back up and NOT miss.

Lol.if your getting killed by inv. Alot then the problem is you.understand your maps and the thought process of a shot gunner.if someone is rushing at the start of a match it's either a shotty or a shoulder most likely.if they rush a heavy..it's most likely a super.

I think that the falloff accuracy could be adjusted a bit while having the same power inside of its effective range. Not as much as the hand cannons had, but enough to give the advantage back to ranged weapons when contesting outside of AR range. Also, I don't have one. This is just my opinion from what I've seen and went up against.

Rock back and forth. The instability of that gun will make them miss a lot. Grasp of malok and fusion rifles do the trick.
