Exotic Shards for sale?
Why doesn't Xur sell exotic shards anymore?

He does... they are 13 strange coins now instead of 7. ;)

Make a duplicate exotic weapon from the kiosk, use motes to unlock all perks, then dismantle. Doing this will give you 2 shards (the one you needed to get the weapon , plus a bonus one for dismantling a fully upgraded weapon.)

Because exotics are so easily accessible now. You can simply shard it.
