The Nova Bomb should kill majors. Its a super, it shouldn't be wimpy. Just because we have new supers doesn't mean the old ones should become useless. Please bump if you agree. That also goes with the Titan smash.

12 RepliesHow many times are we going to go through this Guardians. If you're a year 1 player this is a very strange argument to have at this time, you should be more than used to it by now. Supers are not a "Kill all who stand before me" and never have been for very good reason. Let's say you're doing one of the following: Undying mind strike on nightfall and on the staircase with Vex, not Taken. the SABER strike and the warsat on nightfall. The Phogoth strike on nightfall and you're in the shrieker room. Oryx normal/hard raid and your job is ogres. By your definition you should use a nova bomb and if it hits you kill the major? The result is 3-7 orbs, all other guardians pick this up and are supercharged. They Fist of Havoc and kill the major. 3-7 orbs, supercharged..... Do you see how this reduces what could be a challenging section to mindless orb generation? With the way you have it now, supers are a strategic option. A Nova bomb can deny space or wipe out multiple enemies including majors as long as they have been weakened enough. Bloom will increase the damage output as will a FoH shockwave. You just need to think about how you're using it. Another example. A defender doesn't have an offensive super however is capable of massive orb generation even without super. A Nightstalker is a trapper, not capable of large PvE damage but huge support tactics including longevity, area denial and potential orb generation. As a Day 1 player I honestly can't support this, though I am curious as to what happened recently that made you think this should be a thing?

I'm more likely to kill myself than a major with the Nova bomb...but Im a noob on my warlock, still getting used to all the mechanics.

23 RepliesVoid walker is useless in pve. Same as gunslinger, bladedancer, and striker
-
Never understood why the nova bomb is so weak on ultras
-
Um they are buffing the voidwalker
-
2 RepliesSo don't use it against something it can't kill. Use it against mobs and get them orbs.

2 RepliesShatter. Bloom. Annihilate. These were the ingredients chosen to create the perfect PvE Nova Bomb. Aim for large groups of trash mobs near majors. The multiple smaller explosions combined with the regular Nova Bomb damage will shrek anything short of Major bosses (Omnigul, Psion Flayers, your Mother).

2 RepliesFist of Havoc should be a mobile super, with the option to smash the ground with a single fist 4 times in a smaller radius that is a 1 hit kill (1 hit kill to anything less armored than a hammer of sol titan)(same radius as firebolt, which is largest grenade radius currently ingame). arc energy should be chained from hit enemies to more enemies, to infinity (only 1 damage set per enemy though), but be reduced by 33% everytime it hits another enemy.

Yes please, i want to feel like im actually nuking something because i practically am...is sad that you launch A FREAKING SPACE MAGIC BOMB and it just tickles a major...like really?

Bungie's mottos:If it's fun,Nerf it to where it's no fun anymore If it gets a nerf,Nerf it to the ground If it gets a buff,Make it super OP
thats the bungie way

Beggars can't be choosers
Agreed.

1 ReplyI just wonder why enemies will walk straight into a Solar Grenade, but will avoid my Nova Bombs (and Void Grenades) after haze like the plague...

-
Agreed
-
1 ReplyBump void for the win

1 ReplyTotally agree, it already one shots gaurdians. So boost the damage, it wont break your precious pvp bungie.

4 RepliesI agree. Bladedancers need a little buff for pve because it's stupidly underpowered
-
1 ReplyFor real. It shouldn't take 3 Nova Bombs, a batarang, a Kamehameha Wave, a roundhouse kick, a Hadoken, and a nuclear warhead to take down ONE vex minotaur.
-
2 RepliesGolden Gun too. It amazes me that a Nighthawk Golden Gun shot doesn't one-shot kill an Ogre on the Oryx checkpoint.

Skolas!

5 RepliesEdited by Eta: 4/5/2016 8:07:18 PMSupers aren't technically designed to instantly kill bosses. Contrary to popular belief, supers are meant for adds and nigh-last-moment effective damage to finish off a boss. If you want proof, the Destiny gameplay reveal showed Jason Jones using Golden Gun to deal with adds. On top of that, Joseph Staten, in the same video, used Nova Bomb to finish off the Devil Walker.

3 RepliesIs it me or do voidwalkers are starting to behave like scrub titains going after only one person that's weak af Those supers are ment to destroy mutiple enemies like a control spot (the best use of the two in pvp) not one panic attack
-
They need to buff the older subclasses to put them on par with the new ones. Titans have already kinda had that treatment, but warlocks and hunters are still waiting in line.

3 RepliesWhat's a nova bomb ?
