All this looky-feely stuff leaves me with the opinion that it's just a continuation of the con job. Take ships. You stare st them waiting for the thing to load. Then it dips away. Oh, the excitement! Crucible has 12 new ones. Vanguard has 13 new ones. Variks has 8, Dead orbit has 3. (FWC must have declined to be involved in this nonsense.) Y'all know that ten ships will drop for every one gun, and five for every armor piece, and one for one with frilly hems for your suit, doncha! Most - not all - of the update is cosmetic. I can't say I'm excited by flashy gear. If I was I'd go and play Barbie Doll. (There ya are, trolls! An opening! Go for it!) Nothing has changed! It's all just harder, which is great for the better players, and good luck to them. Of course, the majority of players aren't all that good. A quick look at Destiny Tracker and only 10,000 or so are above "True Skill" level 40. Top level is 50. (To save you looking it up, I'm level 12) 10,000 sounds a lot, but it's out of a supposed 5,000,000 or whatever. 0.2%. I got sick of "next paging" in DT, so I didn't get much past the 10,000. The graph would not be linear, so, I'd guess level 20 would be a million? Maybe? So four million are "lesser" players. Even multiply my 10,000 by 5! That's still only one in a hundred players, that's "good", let alone "elite." Bungie, that is [b]not[/b] a good money paying player base, even if the figures are rubbery. I'm happy to be corrected on these guessy figures. I've tried to find the real number of players playing the game, and percentages of achievements, but I can't anything simple. Anyone have them? Bungie have them, or course, but they're in denial, and in la-la land. Their biggest expenditure at the moment is Public Relations. There must be a lot who don't play at all now! Even Iron Banner, the supposed venture of a life time, often drops with only 4 or 5 players. So, Bungie at times, cannot even find 12 players for IB. Jeez, often they cannot find 3 for a heroic strike, and there's no ability matching there, AFAIK. Talking about IB, Lose a game by heaps? "We're breaking this game up to find more equal players." Well, that's the kiss of death for one team! Inevitably one team loses by even more heaps! Good for the other team I suppose. I clearly admit I am not a good player, and, I'd guess there are a significant number out there who are the same. I'm not embarrassed by this. I am really, really good at things other than video games. There is little for me in the update, and without a serious, serious look at the policy of the game, there will be nothing for me in the next DLC. Other than more pretty guns and pretty clothes.

It seems stupid of bungie to me. It was a garbage announcement in my opinion. With their silence met with a shitty update doesnt play out too well for me. And its released on the same day as dark souls 3.no coincidence there.

The cosmetic stuff and new Y1 weapons look cool... BUT.... they only added 1 old strike? They returned PoE instead of VoG or CE? The new exotics that were said to release with TTK still aren't coming? [spoiler]1 step forward, 2 steps back[/spoiler]

Putting Varik's ships, shaders, etc. in packages is pretty sucky for me :/

It's crap. No word on the other Y2 exotics and everything shown was reskin.
