Incendiary for PvP. Swarm for PvE. Tripmine is a good sub for either game mode, but rarely my go-to.

Tripmines are my favourite Hunter grenade but have killed myself countless times with them. Being able to set them up in a place you know enemy's are going to spawn is so useful. Helpful tip is the best placement other then a elites head is on walls not the floor.

Swarm is more of an area control use, not really good at fulfilling the role a traditional grenade does. Throwing a tripmine on the center enemy in a large group will do the trick just as well as the incendiary. It really boils down to preference. Do you want your grenades to stay where you throw them, or do you prefer a bounce after the initial throw to get the grenade where you want it? The explosion itself is achieving the same effect ultimately lol.

4 RepliesI wanna say Incendiary. Tripmine dies have a good blast radius, but you have to actually time and plan out when you're gonna throw it. Incendiary is better because you know that once you throw it it'll actually go off as soon as it hits ground and the fact that you can throw it to roll/bounce off a wall makes it especially helpful for killing off adds in those hard-to-reach spaces.
