They claim to have come to us with breaking news about the future of the game. Too bad they only gave it to us because activision forced their hand. Everything in today's weekly update was pretty much a direct quote from the activision earnings call this morning. They aren't listening to us. They aren't giving us answers because we asked for them. All bungie is doing is trying to cover their asses after activision dropped more about the future of this game in five minutes than bungie has in 5 months.
EDIT: Here is a link to Activision's slide presentation from the quarterly earnings report. Page 9 Details what they have planned for this cycle for their major IP's.

EDIT 2: We're trending. Lets keep the community informed of the way Bungie truly treats us.
EDIT 3: 150+ comments. Let's make sure bungie sees this and knows that we aren't blind to what has been going on.
EDIT 4: Now Bungie is going to give us a free 320 ghost shell one day after they tell us that the light level is going to be raised. Even though the ghost shell is going to be irrelevant in a short period of time people are still praising Bungie. Does that make sense to anybody else?

Finally a post that tells it how it really is.
-
It's all about money and always will be.

7 RepliesAre you an idiot? Are you really that stupid? Why the hell do you think Bungie never said anything all this time, but MINUTES after activision releases thier earnings report they release an update. Doesn't that nake you think that Activision was the reason Bungie wasn't allowed to release anything? Really. Just use your head.

2 RepliesPeople don't like surprises anymore?

Cry more

I dont care if activision or bungie is in charge of the game, as long as they bring it forward. Weekly Update was great and a massive Improvement imo, they should keep it up this way and bring new content out more frequently. Keep it up Bungie!
-
Bungie should just get rid of sbmm.
-
Good to see stuff like this posted! Keep it up

1 Replygod dude if ur so against the game why the -blam!- are u here on the games forums complaining about it?
-
So I just remembered earlier today that The Division open beta is next week, followed by the game's launch on March 8th. Can't help but wonder if Bungie's feeling a little nervous - Fallout 4 and several other major releases have already taken a bite out of the population, I'm sure The Division is going to as well. Which is good honestly, because the base game launched virtually free of competition and as a result sold far better than it ought to have. This is what competition is supposed to do when things work - maybe Bungie will finally stop screwing us over and give us some value for our money? You know, instead of dictating everything and witholding content behind a pay wall (which incidentally, the division is a bit guilty of and I'm not happy about that)

Jeez you like the sound of your own voice. Quit the game if you feel like this. Bungie are damned if they do damned if they don't. You have had your 15 min fame now give it a rest.
-
Yeah at this point, you gotta quit dude. 2 years you guys put up with this shit

1 ReplyGive me an 'M'! Give me a 'U'! Give me a 'T'! Give me an 'E'! Give me a 'D'! What does it spell?! Yeah, baby cakes. You got it.

I'd love to print maps for Bungie. Sheets go in blank, sheets come out blank. -blam!-ing genius cartographers down their way, I tell you. Innovators of the highest caliber.
-
3 RepliesThe light level isn't going to be raised anytime soon. You're looking at September when the DLC will undoubtedly drop.
-
Stuff just gona be a bunch of retextured items like always
-
At least we're getting stuff that isn't like the dark below or vanilla.

66 RepliesThese comments, just wow. Amazing how so many people who were "sick of the bullshit Bungie is feeding us" change their tune as soon as they briefly mention some upcoming new DLC. Pathetic. This is why I don't have much hope for this game anymore. Bungie barely listens to us to begin with, even when most of the community is in an uproar. All they have to do is mention new DLC and half of you morons start drooling like a modern day Pavlov's Dog experiment. It's highly likely that Bungie is going to keep dicking us over if you all are just going to keep letting it happen without question. I don't even know how to respond anymore. The least you can do is be wary about this upcoming DLC.

19 RepliesEdited by Makeshyft: 2/12/2016 8:51:36 PMObligatory: I am not a Bungie Employee. Just a Volunteer Moderator. I have as much information as you guys. But isn't it possible they couldn't release this information until today as well? We (the public) don't really have any details on what the contractual agreement between Bungie and its publisher is. But I'm willing to bet there's quite a bit of lingo in there regarding marketing and information release schedules. I'm not defending how vague the Roadmap is. I crave details just as much as anyone else. But keeping an open mind tends to be a safer bet.

Edited by ManatuBear: 2/12/2016 9:18:32 PMIt doesn't matter if Activision forced them or not. Bungie burned me before with the season pass, and burned me again with the double RNG in King's Fall raid. I'm not jumping to buy any DLC or sequel before i really know in detail all the info about their content (after Destiny PvP experience, i am NOT buying any sequel unless it has Dedicated Servers, that is guaranteed!) I have learned my lesson.

3 Replies...forced their hand? You don't really have a clue how this stuff works. People bitch and piss and moan and cry and complain that there isn't enough stuff to do, speculate that all content will be "events" without substance... Bungie finally puts that shit to rest, and what happens? Moar salt. Moar butthurt. I get it, now. Its the "cool" thing to do, hate on this game.

Dumb OP.

2 RepliesEdited by Red Right Hand: 2/12/2016 11:28:17 PMBungie doesn't owe you anything. They don't owe you explanations. They don't owe you answers. And even if they did (which, again, they certainly don't), any and all information on upcoming content is strictly controlled by the publisher who stands to lose the most from any stock variations and instability. The publisher gets to veto all announcements pertaining to the venture they finance. It's as simple as that. If that's not self evident to you, please do this community a favor and stay quiet.

I thought everyone wanted to get news of the where the future of Destiny is going? Let's examine what we're doing. We crave information of the future. And with Bungle being so secretive on details, we had almost nothing. Then we got this, literally, a "glimpse" of what's to come. The spring update, expansion, and sequel. We have an idea of what's to come. PVE players are finally getting something, whether it's an event, some new gear, or just Y1 content becoming relevant. (TBH, I would just take that option.) So I'm assuming community members are angry? We got, and I quote, a "glimpse" at Destiny's road map. A tiny glimpse. What's so bad about that? Are players pissed about the fact that we didn't get it sooner? That sounds....greedy? I guess? I don't really think we're entitled to anything? Do we? I'm confused.

bungie is really -blam!- this game up

You are acting like an entitled little bitch. This is exactly what the community has been asking for. Grow up, son
