A PVE player who doesn't raid wants 320 light.
WHY? Why would it even begin to matter at all...

For the same reason raid players who have completed the raids multiple times complain they don't get 320 drops. If you have completed a raid multiple times with your current light level why do you need 320 gear to make it even higher? It's the Pokémon, got to get them all attitude of collecting everthing. It's in the game so I want it!

No it's not. Hard mode oryx is at 320 light. If your at 320 you take less damage and deal more damage. There is reason, even if it's negligible. All other PvE activities are set lower, at 260 for nightfall? (I could be wrong, haven't done nightfalls in a while, no reason with no exp boost) If you don't raid no reason even to get to 300. Anyways, if you want better gear do the raid. This destiny app had a recruitment section and you'd be surprised how easy it is to find a group. Obviously you'll have to pay your dues in normal mode first, which is good because you need to learn the mechanics of the raid.
