Its been 13 years without seeing my family
And am seeing them tomorrow BUT they don't know am comeing or anything
I lost contact with them about 9 years ago
I think its ganna be great!! Seeing my mom and dad once again
Well to start off o left CA to work as a Fed on Texas then overtime i got caught up on the job, thats all i wanted because i was makeint a good amount of $$ in my opinion then overtime i had less and less time to talk / spend time because i was all caught up on it and somehow stop talking to my fam (i did email them - no answer back from fam) then i tryed calling; change number or something then it went on like that for years and everyday it felt like i was alone and had no bloodline to even say "hi" to...
A few months ago i pulled some strings to at least get a lead on one of my fam members then i got a address (a aunt)
I msg her she said
-so..where u been?
-working for my future and for my parents
Over a few msgs she gave me an address where my parents lived (new address from what i knew)
I said
-is it ok if i give you something to give them?
-yeah sure send it
I looked up addresses and discover that they wore my parents house
Weeks whent on
I showed up and they had a Christmas party going on (friends, relatives, family)
I walked in without saying anything
And i saw my parents. Funny thing is that no one knew me to be honest, i was a stranger.
I put a present unther the tree then waited till midnight they wore reading them until my mom read the card from my present to them
It sayd
To. Thomas and karen
From. Kevin
My mom was shock then instantly started looking around the room desperately trying to find me and she did not recognized me until i sayed
"Hi mom"
She ran to me and hugged me and cryed then my pops did too, after a few minutes my hole fam wanted to hug me and was not a stranger anymore.
that cold empty ness i felt was worm and filled
On the gift box i gave them was exactly 133,000$ to finish paying their mortgage
Yeah it cost me a lot but idc i found my fam and was not ignored or put aside.
Also i was forgotten for "not haveing time"
I only updated it because i saw people wanted to know what happened thats all
Theres a lot more details to it but it will be too much

That is a sweet story. Time can certainly fly away from you. While I've never had this situation with my family, I've had this happen between friends. You keep saying, "l'll get to it someday" and someday evolves into a few months, into a few years. I'm glad you and your family were able to reconnect. A few years back one of my aunts reconnected with my Grandfather after almost 35 years! My GP had adopted 4 Filipino girls while he and my grandmother were in the Philippines. Due to medical issues he had to leave the country and return to the US. They came with him, but were so homesick that my grandfather gave them a choice (as they were all adults now) to stay in the US or move back. They decided to return home. Due to lack of tech and such, they completely lost track of one another. 1 year ago though the eldest of the adopted daughters learned that gp was still alive (as they were told that he had passed on) and she found their address and sent a letter. The rest his history, so to speak. It was a VERY sweet reunion and my Grandfather got to meet several grandchildren that he never knew he had.
