Front and back at oryx
I can't believe this is even being debated amongst people in the game. When you beat the daughters and you step into the room where oryx is located, you come in the front. Oryx spawns in THE BACK! There is one door to come in and it's the front
Example: A closet has one door and when you step into your closet you enter through the front and the wall you look at is the back wall. You don't come in through the back and look at the front wall. Anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong and moronic.

Your relevant position on the ship puts you facing the back of the ship once you walk in the room. In other words, your standing in the back of the ship facing the back window or balcony with oryx standing in front of you. Oryx is standing between you and the back of the ship. The bridge of a ship has a window facing the front. The aft end has something similar. Do you see little hive ppl steering that big ole ship in that room? Are there things that look like controls? No. Why? Because it's not the front of the ship.

The way we have been doing it is numbering the pedastals based on where Oryx slams and going counter clockwise from there. We assign a player to 1, 2 and 3 and it never changes. So the same people are always jumping on the slammed platform and you always know who you follow. But for the record the front is where Oryx is

When every person that I've found off the forums to do the raid calls orix front. If it's so confusing number the platforms. Or even say orix left/right door left/right.

Ok so when you're whole team says that oryx is the front and you mess up a call out and you are to blame for the wipe. You can say it's the back all you want while you're getting kicked. If your pride over a video game means that much to you

Don't know what game you've been playing. I can clearly remember coming in through the door on the left and Oryx spawning on the right.

Here is the theory i use (i say where oryx spawns is front) and listen carefully: We are going back to the VoG. Pre-fix, glitching VoG where only 1 or 2 people were teleported instead of 3. There was a weekly update about this glitch and another fix. That fix was: [b]Atheon teleported the 3 players in the back of the room. The strategy that was made around that was pointed out as "get to the back of the room" where the door was. It was fixed by making 3 random players get teleported.[/b] And i think because of the first ever raid had the door as the back of the room and where the boss spawns the front of the room it should be the same with every other raid with this kind of lay out (until now every raid. Crota has it (back door, front boss) Atheon started it and now oryx same story)

Oryx can't spawn behind you, therefore Oryx is the front not the back.

Orientation is all that matters. Call it the side for all I care. It only matters that everyone your playing with knows your orientation. Imo

Oryx is front. Why? Because he spawns there and all his actions begin there. General ads and the vessel spawn there everything happens from that point. Shade... U move to oryx when he spawns in.

Why would you run platforms with oryx behind you? I suppose you "drop" the soap a lot as well? Front is where oryx spawns stop confusing ppl and making my job at helping raiders harder than what it needs to be

The thing you're facing, is in front. Are you just slow or are you trolling? Military always reserves what's ahead of you as 12 o clock & anything at your 6 is your back, which is the door. Unless you're one of those kids that faces the wrong way and gets on the wrong plat.

Just have the platform people go run to whichever one they want and name it something so that there's no front/back or L1/L2 debate

This has come up far too many times. I have noticed people who call oryx the back still call the left platform the same platform it would be if Oryx was the front.
