Front and back at oryx
I can't believe this is even being debated amongst people in the game. When you beat the daughters and you step into the room where oryx is located, you come in the front. Oryx spawns in THE BACK! There is one door to come in and it's the front
Example: A closet has one door and when you step into your closet you enter through the front and the wall you look at is the back wall. You don't come in through the back and look at the front wall. Anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong and moronic.

When you fight Atheon and want three members to get teleported (before it was random) you say "run to the front"? When you want to brag about concert tickets you tell your pals "I got back row seats"? When your at school and you want to sit away from the teacher so you can troll the destiny forum you sit in the front row? I got it.

Oryx spawns in front... Think of it as a theater -> the stage is in the front (oryx) and the doors are in the back of a auditorium

Front right/left burners and back right and left. The boss is almost always at the back. Best example of this would be the Templar battle. From the spawn zone before the jump, one can easily see it as though he or she is making some bomb ass breakfast on the range. The breakfast of GUARDIANS.

I found an easy way to avoid the debate. My group just say door side or space side. Door side is obviously the entrance. Space side is where oryx shows up. Everybody is happy with that.

Front is oryx. When in a theater, front row isnt when you first walk in from the back. You conflate what you see first as front.

I've never met anyone in-game that calls the doors the front. I'm pretty convinced this is just a stupid forums troll, but if I ever encounter anyone this anal, we can reach a compromise: We'll call the daughter on the left as we just walk in "front," that way everyone's confused.

The thing that I don't understand is why Oryx is the back? Your not walking into a room, your walking through a door to get outside to a battle area. Oryx is at the front of the battle area. In a room (closet) yes he would be.

Easiest way to communicate sides that is easily understood is to look at each boss fight map as a stove top. Front right/left burners and back right and left. The boss is almost always at the back. Best example of this would be the Templar battle. From the spawn zone before the jump, one can easily see it as though he or she is making some bomb ass breakfast on the range.

I always call Oryx end the front as you are working your way to the front of his Dreadnought to kill him.

I saw a post like a month ago or more about this, and he included a poll asking which sides people saw as front and back. When I voted, a large majority of people had voted that Oryx spawns in the front, while the door is at the back. This makes sense, since the Dreadnaught is facing Saturn. HOWEVER, ultimately the only way to end this debate is to use other words besides front and back. Saturn-side, balcony, and Oryx-side are all possible words for the side where Oryx spawns, while door-side, entrance, and wall are all possible words for the door end. Everybody thinks they're right about which side is front or back, but it's pointless to argue. Just use different words and all of the confusion will disappear.

This is how i see it Oryx is at the front In the closet its the back since you are talking about the sall of the closet In the fridge the food is in the back dince you are talking about the wall in the fridge In a movie theater its the front bc you are talking about the seats and there is going to be something in front of you In a classroom its the front bc the board/ teacher will still be in front if you In oryx youre not going to go directly under him so he is still going to be in front of you In golgoroth its the back since there is still stuff behind the focus point which us golgoroth In oryx/classroom/movie theater there is no reason to be all the way at the focus point In a fridge/closet/golgoroth there is still stuff to focus on in the back like the wall

2 RepliesIt's not a room, it's the topside of a ship. He spawns at the front of the ship. Doesn't matter cuz there are examples of either way. For example, when I walk into your house I'm at the front of the house (NO OBJECTIVE), but when I go into your mom's room and she is on the bed waiting for me and she's the OBJECTIVE ; ) then she is in front from me.

Most do it the other way around. They see it like a theatre. The stage (or screen) is where you are facing when you enter. Oryx spawns at the front. Like a theatre, the entrance is in the back.
