Why the -blam!- did you make it impossible for anybody who doesn't like crucible or people suck at it (both apply to me) completely impossible for us to get The chaperone, the first curse, and the exotic sword. Seriously I don't want to play multiplayer, it sucks, it's boring, and it's hard. Stop forcing this garbage down our throats just to an exotic weapons.
EDIT- Yes people I know I suck, I get the point. Also, This post was made in the heat of pure frustration and while that may not be a valid excuse for some of you that's why it is extremely dumbed down and retarded. So let me be more articulate with the point I'm trying to make. It's as simple as some option for PvE player that are just as hard as the one in crucible, but does not require playing crucible. For instance- To get the chaperone do something like gain renown in the crucible -OR- kill 100 major or ultra enemies with the Last word that are the same or higher level than you without aiming down the sights. Simple as that, both are about as equal in the time it would take.
EDIT 2- After grinding from 10pm to 3am in a red bull fueled rage, I have finished the last word portion of the quest. I still maintain my opinion that it was way to hard for the average player, I'm still baffled at how I managed to do it.
EDIT 3- finished the quest, the only hard part is the last word renown.

1 ReplyI'm working on it now and probably the worst quest bungie will ever produce. Friend has the gun and says it isn't even worth it now since bungie will make it easier to obtain later on. If you don't have a couple of hours a day to dedicate you probably shouldn't worry about it

Just equip the last word when u get heavy or u are going to pop ur super and when ur done take it off so u don't die and lose points

You can at least grind out the kills for the sword... But the chaperone is one weapon I will never own.

Get over it, there will always be some weapons that require crucible to complete. If you want it that bad you will do the event and get over it .

1 ReplyEdited by Rioji: 10/2/2015 7:31:00 PMHonestly, don't bother, the Chaperone isn't that great. if you want to use it for PvE, it's decent enough, but there are better exotics, and if you even WANT to use it in the Crucible, it needs a bit of a range buff to stay out of the lethal range of better, Year 1 LEGENDARY shotguns, which is sad, I worked hard for this exotic and I don't even want to use it anymore and I've barely had it for a day. :\

Really wish they would make all the quests branch off from the beginning - like either kill 50 Pve enemies or kill 5 guardians in crucible then the quest line is set to pvp or pve after that depending on which one you did.

I suck too, so I mostly agree with this post. I got the sword though, That's the only exotic so far that I care about that requires crucible. Good luck.

I actually don't think poocible is that hard to adjust to, compared to battlefield and other real shooters, problem is when you have a bunch of people running together and your team are wandering around looking at flowers.... Then you're in trouble... Although suros uber spaz perk does help with crowds. Honestly though I don't like poocible, it's boring
