"Smarter RNG"? Anyone?
Anyone been experiencing any differences?
Bungie said the loot system (RNG, Random Number Generator), is better. You shouldn't be getting duplicates as often, if at all.
I don't feel a difference. Seems the same to me. And I have 3 invectives to prove it.
Also 3 hawkmoons.
What about you? Feeling any difference?

Tons of duplicates... There is only one Hunter chest and I have it.... So why does RNG continue to drop my Hunter exotic chest engrams? Seriously...

4 RepliesThe game loot is -blam!- up. It's posted to be random but I think it's not random at all. The thing that might be random is which player get more luck than other. my friend and I both started playing the taken king at launch. I play more than him and I completed the raid which he didn't. In saying that his light have pass mines just because he get better drops than me. I'm on the raid for the second time and hardly ever get a drop from the bosses. He did once and only got to the death singer and got better drop than me. Now he keep getting 310 exotic drop while I'm luck to even get a 297 rare. All his gear is about 300 putting him at 305. now how is that random? if i do get an exotic it is not 290 and a piece I already got. But it is not only me who is having bad luck but other players have told me the same thing is happening to them as well.

I feel they replaced the 2x+ same loot with the bad/low light loot system! And cryptarch is annoying me when he decrypts into motes of light!!

1 ReplyRNG seems worse. The majority of the exotic engrams I find are duplicates. Also, too many legendary engrams decrypt in the 260s when my Guardian is in the 290s.

I gotten several repeats from exotic helm engrams and secondary engrams and the cryptarch smiles mischievously every time I fill up with disappointment

Haven't got a duplicate yet, but got both PS exclusives(hawkmoon and monte carlo) in the same week

I got arctic proxy and substance 321 from back to back cryptarch packages. Both of which I have been chasing since Launch. Now, I would think that it's better, but everything else is still lacking as always.

I'm getting tons of legendary stuff now. And I've gotten maybe a total of 4 or 5 duplicate exotics, but they have different stat rolls now so I can pick a preferred at least

6 helm of st14, 5 stags, 3 obsidian minds, 6 invectives, 5 suros, 4 4th horsemanship...... Would disagree.

After xur has sold hawkmoon I have oy gotten hawkmoon, just got 7 of them in a row.

I think I have definitely seen more legendaries drop. But everyone I talk to says the RNG is still crap. Haven't gotten any exotic drops yet to say personally.
